With the second season premiering on Netflix in less than two weeks I thought it was a good time to dust my patterns off and see if some folks would be interested in revisiting the awesome and iconic Black Suit from the first season. According to the show's costume designer, Matt's outfit was entirely made from pre-existing gear (McDavid compression shirt, G-Star pants, Bates boots ...) so basically the only thing that you need to complete your costumes and you can't find off-the-peg is the black mask and holster which is what we're offering here.
The details are the same as all my previous DD runs. The masks and holsters are going to be entirely made by a friend of mine, a professional seamstress with decades of experience in costume making who's currently working for the costume department of Paris Opera House. She has an incredible eye and crazy attention to details so we will once again aim at delivering long-lasting items with a high level of quality wether it's in the materials or construction. All items will be of course made in France and will ship from the Paris area.
The mask we are offering will be similar to the improved V2.0 mask from my last run. They will be made from a high quality cotton-jersey knit fabric (95% cotton/5% stretch) based on the new accurized, more form fitting, pattern we developed last year. The heavier fabric will allow the mask to look even better in motion. It will move and flow just like the real thing. It's also, and by far, the most comfortable mask we ever made thanks to a softer fabric. It also has improved visibility over the V1.0 version even in dark conditions. We've also been able to replicate the "brow detail" that you can clearly see during the Nobu fight.
The mask will retain the premium quality and durability of all our previous build with a hand-sewn pvc mask secured inside several layers of fabric, even better visibility and perfect finishing and details. My friend uses a special anti-tearing sewing technic making them even more durable. You could rough it up without being afraid to destroy it.
The holster now is the result of extensive research to recreate and produce the most accurate replica out there. The main body of the holster is made of heavy-duty cotton (sergé) with proper screen accurate texture, backed with thermobonding interlining and then fully lined for durability. In the interest of having something that is both screen accurate (the holster actually deforms when Matt takes out the sticks, runs or fights) and comfortable to wear, we developed a solution that allows the holster to keep its shape without using any plastic or vinyl that would restrict your movements and alter the durability of the item. We will use nylon webbing and heavy-duty velcro for the thigh attachments as it seemed to be the most practical and accurate solution. We will also provide two black safety pins to attach the holster to you pants in case you want to run around in full gear. The holster has been designed to hold screen accurate escrima sticks with a diameter of 1".
We will offer once again a service for entirely made to measure holsters. Your holster will be a completely unique piece based on the measurement you are going to provide us with. It's a very rare opportunity to have such a complicated piece custom made to your measurements.

Upon ordering, I will only collect payment for the item(s) in your order. Once your order is ready to ship I will contact you and collect payment for shipping.
I'm going to handle things a little differently this time around. I'm going to accept a limited amount of orders for a limited time frame (I'm not really sure how many or for how long yet, it pretty much depends on my friend and her ever changing workload) and we're gonna take and work on orders as they come. It's just easier for my friend to work that way instead of waiting for a bulk of orders and having to meet the crazy deadlines I'm forcing onto her.

Update 05/08: I picked up Falvorcountry's set yesterday and will ship it asap. My friend and I talked a little and we agreed to put this project on hold for a little while. WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANY NEW COMMISSION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Thanks. You are of course welcome to express you interest in this thread and I'll contact you when and if we decide to resume production on these items.
Update 08/21: We are now ready to work on commissions for Halloween. We have an run currently open with a limited amount of 5 spots. Cut off dates for Halloween orders is Sept 15th.
Update 10/23: Final Call. We have 5 last spots open and will retire the patterns for good at the end of the year so contact me if you want in on the final run.
Update 11/29: 4 spots left. This is the FINAL FINAL call. We will not revisit those items next year.
