Unlimited Run Marvels DareDevil Cowl **pics in post #134**

Re: Marvels DareDevil Cowl

Ok since the new pictures got released, I will be making this a 2 part "cowl/helmet" like the show.. I like to be as screen accurate as I can with whatever reference I have.. hope people will appreciate that and be a little more patient :)

No problem :) thanks
Sorry I was just trying to help and yes I am interested

Soon, it's officially the only thing on my bench for a couple days at least :)
So excited. Barely able to wait. :)

I'll put you on the list :)
Interested

Re: Marvels DareDevil Cowl

so by making it a two part cowl/helmet are you going to cast it as one and then cut it into two or cast it separately

Re: Marvels DareDevil Cowl

Sorry this is taking way longer than I was hoping.. various things happening. But its getting closer to being done.. I will post pics as soon as I have something decent to show :)

Re: Marvels DareDevil Cowl

OK I wanted to post up a pic of what I have so far.. I will send out PM;s for deposits..I only have the texture left to do, and I want to make sure there is enough interest to keep going on this..so if you showed interest you will get a PM :)

It will all be a satin finish..the "faceplate" was just sprayed which is why its shiny :p

How would you attach the faceplate to the main cowl on finished ones ?
Also maybe I skipped it and I'm sorry if someone already brought that up but is the plan still to cast these in rubber or will you go with solid resin now that you made it as a two part cowl ?

Good questions..I figured I would just put that in the PMs I send out :)

So I would say both parts would still need to be semi flexible because the helmet part does come down narrow, more than say a Cap A helmet. And I would say you could Velcro or use magnets to put it together..it almost stays in place without the support so it fits nice. Having said all that, you can get them run in 40 shore rubber and glue them together or hard resin and have it for display? The pics below show the 2 pieces separate and I'm trying to make it screen accurate.. as much as I can anyway.. but I dont believe its hard resin, you would never get the opening over your head.
