Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Could all be a trap. Coulson talking to Ward, the shot faked and Ward giving up extreme secret to gain the trust of his former training officer so the good guys can get deep into Hydra like Hydra did with Shield. Time will tell.

Sorry, if their plan is to let Ward kill numerous SHIELD agents, destroy multiple SHIELD facilities, bring about the fall of SHIELD so they are all discredited by the US government, and allow wanton destruction to be loosed upon the world just so they could capture a guy THEY ALREADY HAD IN CUSTODY then it'd have to be the STUPIDEST plan in the world. Seriously? No, he's a traitor. His death needs to be bloody.

So, you think after Coulson would be so paranoid that he would let Ward escort the Hydra agent that trained him without any thought.... ;) If it fools other here, it fools Hydra. :lol

There are fewer assumptions necessary for Ward to actually be dirty, namely that Coulson made a mistake. If Ward's undercover we have to assume Coulson thought it was a good idea to release a known traitor and top level Hydra agent from custody, that it was a good idea to let him abscond with a bunch of Fury's secret tech from the fridge, that they have a magic gun that is non-lethal/creates blood splatter and they can hide every "dead" agent from Hydra (or Coulson's okay with Ward killing agents to maintain his cover), and that's he's perfectly comfortable keeping it a secret from his team despite all his trust issues stemming from Fury and his obvious discomfort at keeping secret Fury's survival.

Sure, Ward could be undercover. Occam's Razor would disagree.

I agree with Kerr. If that was actually true, Coulson's strategy is essentially "Help the bad guys to the point that we should murder our own people and just give them any technology they want." Talk about doing a complete 180 on Winter Soldier's "We're going to stop a lot of threats before they even happen". Let's let the threat do it's own thing and not give a crap about it until it's just convenient. Isn't the whole reason why things are continuing to go downhill is because Garret is still calling the shots? If Ward wanted to stop this arguably huge Hydra threat, all he'd really have to do was kill Garret on the plane and compromise his base of operations in Cuba. The flower lady would still be in jail, rich jerk would still be whining in a cell and that Hydra cheerleader would be cowering in fear somewhere.

One other thing. With the break out of that one Clairvoyant guy, the fake mandarin, the flower lady, the SHIELD prisoners and the rich jerk guy, I'm starting to think there's a serious problem with prisons in this universe.

After tonight's episode I doubt there are many left who will think Ward is undercover... Great references... Howling Commandos, TARDIS, Steve Rogers...etc..

It feels like a waste how they're burning through some rather interesting guest stars...

But at least Amy Acker survived and will continue to be adorable.

The license plate on May's mother's car seemed to have an unusual design, that I'm guessing let us know what agency she works for, but I didn't catch it, did anyone else?

It was a Pennsylvania plate. Didn't look that off to me. I would need a screenshot though

Yeah, now that I look at an image of a Pennsylvania plate, that I thought might have been the name of an agency seems to just be "visitPA.com" Well, that's less interesting than I had thought.

Damn, was sad to see Eric bite it. Not liking the whole "just following orders" schtick they're throwing around with Ward, like they're trying to create a loophole where it's okay for him to turn good again. He's murdered at least six agents at this point, no amount of doe eyes from Skye excuses "just following orders." Interesting way to get around the lie detector, but I think Eric bought his story a little two easily after all the "he's lying" readings. And with 96 different things it monitors there's no way that pain should be giving "false negatives." It doesn't even work that way on real lie detectors.

Looking forward to Maria Hill next week. May's mom was fun to see too. I'm a little disappointed that they cheated revealing Phil is alive, that's such a Smallville copout.

I really don't ward to come back to the good side, but if he does, the only way they could possibly do it would be that he is under some kind of mind control all this time. Remember Hawkeye took out agents while under mind control and all was forgiven. But if they do that it would seem pretty cheap.

Yeah, I'm actually hoping that Skye kills Ward, because I think that would be pretty satisfying. I do think that they've done a good job of pulling off having a main character turn out to have been evil all along. I've liked the show from the beginning, but I didn't really think it was living up to its potential until the last few episodes. If they do end up getting a second season, I wonder if they'll be able to keep up the pace.

Anyway, something that occurred to me: Skye looks at the digital-fake-window-thing just before calming down and going to play along with ward. The digital-fake-window-thing that shows a new image once per day. I'm thinking she'll have modified it somehow to leave a message for the others about what happened.

Or some of his family is being held hostage. However, I think Ward is definitely bad. I don't know if he will be a recurring bad guy next season or if they will kill him off like Joss did Wash in "Serenity".

Or Skye will turn out to have a power that makes him good.

Sent from my Etch A Sketch.

There's no turning back now. Skye has seen who he is, and she won't forgive that

Don't underestimate the ability of hollywood to take an otherwise smart female character and turn her ridiculously stupid in the name of 'love'. I think this is a great potential turning point for Skye. She's been among the weakest characters on this show writing-wise and this is a great opportunity to make her evolve into someone awesome. I just hope they don't squander it.

Myself, I think if they DO attempt the redemption route with Ward, I think that his success should be fatal; he saves the team, but gets himself killed in the process.

Ask and ye shall receive.

That being said, I think it was an interesting episode. I liked Eric (partially because we share the same first name), and am sad to see him go.
