Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The addition of Hunter and Bobbi was a huge shot in the arm that helped make the show bearable. I get wanting to spin them off onto their own show, but they just made the parent show a lot less watchable by writing them out.

Yeah I they are great characters. Hopefully they can still go back to Agents of Shield if the story calls for it. Yeah they said goodbye, but that doesn't really mean anything. I doubt in their own show they are going to just go off and be a normal couple.

BTW, how does Bobbi call her batons back? That was pretty cool. I don't remember them showing that before.

I'm confused...If Gideon Malick is the leader of Hydra....how come he doesn't seem to have any connection/communication with Crossbones, Mitchell Carson from Ant-Man, and Baron Zemo?!

Because after some behind-the-scenes friction at the executive level the movie and tv side of things were split up (at least to a higher degree than previously). There's roughly no overlap of personnel at this point. Because the tv and movie side are essentially separate entities there's likely to be less interconnectivity (which is fine with me since aside from Winter Soldier all the movie tie-ins on AoS have been pointless). The movies are written years in advance, so lining things up may be problematic even if the timing works out. Look at how much water AoS had to tread (and how terrible it was as a result) until Winter Soldier came out. It's probably easier to just keep them separate.

From an in-universe standpoint, Hydra has many Heads (wha wha). At this point they may be compartmentalized and Malick is head of the Inhuman Collection branch.

From what I've read about the new Bobi & Hunter show (aka Marvel's Most Wanted) they're going to be separate from AoS, they even went as far as to say that MMW isn't even a spin off. Naturally they're going to keep them separate for at least the first season or 2 so that the show can get its own fanbase and not be seen as just a spin off of AoS, they also said that they wanted it this way so that the audience isn't always wondering why they don't just call on Coulson or other members of SHIELD to give them a hand whenever they need it. But I'm betting that if this show does well enough we'll start seeing some limited crossovers by sometime in S3, I can see plotlines crossing over and/or Coulson contracting Bobi & Hunter for a job (or jobs) that involves plausible deniability and absolutely no connections to SHIELD, possibly even to the point of them not even knowing that Coulson is the one that contracted them in the first place.

That would be pretty cool - AoS could reference events in MMW, with Coulson pulling some strings, with their being none the wiser...

I hope that they do that down the line and not keep the two shows completely separated for all time. There's definitely a lot of possibility for crossovers with the two shows esp. with Coulson anonymously hiring Bobi and Hunter for something that SHIELD can't do or even be suspected of being involved in. If the writers are clever they could easily set it up in an episode of AoS either hinting at the events or mentioning that there's nothing they can do and leaving it at that and then in the next episode of MMW we see Bobi & Hunter taking care of what SHIELD can't. No mention of Coulson contracting them, no hinting at it, just allow the viewers to read between the lines until later on in the show's run where they have a full blown crossover.

Question about last night's episode - which I thought was pretty good, though I'm with the other team members who are worried about Daisy's actions...

How exactly did Mack's brother find them at the farm/ranch?

Exactly? Who knows. He was clearly sympathetic to their views, so I just assumed he had already been looking into joi ing and knew from that. Which would imply that they have weak security.

He heard him say on the phone the name of the farm and that it's east of here. If it's a known name for the area, piece of cake.

Daisy's actions seem to have come a bit out of left field don't they? Maybe it's the 4 month break, but I don't recall that behavior beforehand.

I really hope they explore that and don't just let that go. She's potentially making a big mistake if someone gets what she does on camera. It's going to reinforce what people think about powered people.

The thing that made absolutely no sense was the guy they captured in the holding cell saying that if they knew Daisy was the inhuman they would have went after her because she's a little girl. He saw what she can do and clearly they aren't prepared to even take on a SHIELD field agent (Mack)!

When she used her powers, the Watchdogs thought it was Mac doing it, not her. from their point of view it looked like him.

I was seriously ready to start a revolution when they broke in for that political crap last night.

Why can't they just do that junk during the commercials? Or better yet, just wait for the 10 o'clock news.

Or just put it at the bottom of the screen. If people care that much about that primary they will be watching one of the cable news channels for endless repeating of "what it means".

Looked like it....

I didn't really see anything last night that will 'change the team forever'....as the commercials said all week. Seems like Mallack has been changed forever with whatever he saw, but that's it.
