Martin Bower book - any interest?

Hi all,

Martin Bower may be a familiar name to many of you, having supplied spaceship models for numerous TV productions including Space:1999 and co-heading the model shops on Alien and Outland with Bill Pearson. He's responsible for some of the real classics.

Martin may, possibly, have an art book in the offing. The prospective publisher needs to gauge interest. Are you a Bower fan, and if so would you buy a book? Disclaimer; I'm not personally associated with this, I'm just trying to help out. This isn't a pre-order or anything of that nature. Price point isn't known yet and (I guess) may depend on the level of interest/resulting print run.

I'm not sure whether this has already come up or whether it's really appropriate to post it here as it doesn't relate directly to any particular model or build, but I don't think any other section of the RPF is *more* appropriate! Mods please move it if I'm incorrect.

Huh. I've been sorting and forwarding responses from other forums for a couple of weeks. If that wasn't his preference I kinda wish he coulda told me so.

Then again on checking back it looks like I really didn't get that many responses anyway, so I guess not much time wasted. Oh well...change of plan - DON'T email me!

Eagle, no no, not your fault. When Martin asked me if I'd send in a mail, I told him I'd put it about on some of the fora too. He seemed happy with that. I thought I'd spare him the spambots by forwarding (something I'm a bit paranoid about these days).

Nothing further from the publisher so far, apparently. Crossing fingers...

I would buy this book this second if it were available, Martin Bower's work on ALIEN was incredible, not only for what was seen in the movie, but for what was not seen....

ALIEN is the only real movie, the rest of them not even worth watching, and Bower working with Ridley Scott made the most incredible sci-fi/horror movie in history!!

A large coffee table size book for 50-75$ would be even better,
