What are you using to coat the foam? How do the pieces stay together? I'm wanting to make a Mark 42 set of armor and I'm wanting to try the foam method but I have not been able to find (maybe I'm not looking in the correct place) any tutorials or forum posts that explains how each piece goes together and comes apart for wearing. The suit looks amazing and I'm truly in awe of your skill. Thanks for your time!

I use multiple things truthfully...I mostly heat up the foam so it looks smooth and with a small shine to it. Then I plastidip spray it. And then I primer it with a few coats, then paint it with automotive paint, probably about 2-3 coats. Then I take 3 cans of CLEAR GLAZE OR GLOSS....and clear coat the whole suit until its all gone. Comes out perfect!! The pieces stay together with hot glue of course. And I cut one side of the chest and velcro to fasten it back together. Same goes for the abs. Mark 42 is insane!!! If you don't have any exp in building I would not recommend starting it with this suit!! And thanks so much!!

I've got some experience but not experience with foam. I've only made one helmet out of the pepakura card stock method and it turned out pretty well for my first try. Thank you for the advice!=)
