It took me a lot of time to do this.
I just don't have any motivation to continue the unfold.
I also found several missing lines on the helmet and correcting it.
Very detailed model, great job OP ! :thumbsup
great news everyone, my printer has been printing non-stop for the past 3 days and it just finished the last part of the helmet.

my plan now is to use modeling clay to fill in the holes and smooth over the gaps, then make a mold of it. after watching the movie now im really motivated and excided to get this finished
Found this online guys, below the Iron Man 3 concept art there's pics of ALL Mark suit version of the Iron Man suit...
Just a shame there's no side and rear view of the other suits, but i reckon some of them would have some similarity the to others. Go check it out

Wow, that's amazingJust wondering, wouldn't using body filler or Bondo as it's called in the State be an easier option than clay?
I tried the clay tonight on a test part and im not real happy with the results. my original idea was to make a mold of the 3d print then make a solid cast in a material that I can easily carve or sand out all the printing lines (need to figure out what product to use) and then make a mold from that and finally use smoothcast 65d to make a hollow cast.

hey buddy where did you bought 3d printer ? looks very nice
With my previous 3D printed items I would seal them using a resin sealant, like a clear coat varnish. If you apply it in thin coats and let it seep into the pores of the printed piece, you can save yourself the need for a junk mold to get a more solid piece.
