Man of Steel (Pre-release)

No - my POV was PROVEN right.
Proven in your own little egotistical world, maybe, but the rest of us live on this planet where the merits or faults of movies are subjective, and not prone to the snobbish rantings of any one person, even overbearing "professionals".

Your view is derived from selected observation - I see these movies and judge them by taking acting, pace, arc, and above all story ( as that is the one thing they have years to work on - unlike the rest). There is no excuse for unoriginality or retreading someone elses work - we pay for more than that, especially with ticket prices now. Seeing how reviews are disregarded around here (unless they back the point of the person who has the floor - something I'm guilty of as well) let's focus on the one language we all understand - money. The general public are the voters and as I predicted they had no interest. It"s hard to say "my limited view" when the numbers side with me - I'm not the only person.

As for Man Of Steel - I've seen it and I stand by my prediction. The one wild card when it comes to Superman are kids - they will pour into this movie and they dont care about anything other than explosions.

I'm not going to read anymore reviews. As well as trailers. As much at they are getting me excited for the film, I feel like they are nearly showing the entire film, short of the climax and easter eggs. I want to go to this film and see it for the first time and feel like it is the first time, not a longer version of what I've seen already. Don't get me wrong I'm loving what I see. I'm just scared they are going to over do the promotional work on this and spoil it.

Critics reviews don't really mean much to me any more, since critics rarely have the same taste in entertainment as I do.

Now, the folks here, and other forums I visit. Yeah, if a bunch of them say that something is awesome, then I'll be off to the theater.

... which is why I'm not watching any of them. I'd like to be surprised by at least some of what I'm going to see in theaters.

you got me Nick - You win. I spit 7up on my iphone.

I typed up about fifteen different responses before deciding to just go with the Spock!
To the implication you might intuit that which drives other's views, there was no more logical a gobsmacked expression.
