Man of Steel (Pre-release)

One thing that I had thought of that would be interesting for the film to do is breaking up the straight timeline. Everyone has seen films/comics/TV where it starts on Krypton, goes to Smallville, then Metropoliis etc etc. I think it would be interesting to do it "in medias res", and have Clark hitching to the north, working on the boat and all the while thinking back about Smallville in flashback. Then when he gets to the "Fortress" (or whatever it is), then the Krypton story is told. Kinda like what happened in Superman:Earth One. It is not likely that it will go that route, but it would be interesting anyway.

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have followed this movie from the early days to filming all over the country and of course right near where I live. Its even more of a bullseye that so far the footage, interviews and actors have all proven that gut feeling I got last August in Plano IL that this was going to be a winner.

A few days ago in the Plano walmart the city of Plano was given one of the keys from the movie around Clarks neck and a piece of artwork from the production showing Smallville/Plano.

My only regret is that as I see more footage I am still seeing props and set dec from the Plano auction last April that I missed....that and the dog house was too big to bring home....laughs.

Oh pictures on thepropstop facebook page of those two items.

Damn, this trailer really looks like it puts Earth in peril.

I've always loved Superman and I'm not a 'purist' in the sense that the tone of the film should align with the Donner/Singer sensibilities - but really, DAMN! (In a good way.) I've gotten a kick out of all the teasers and trailers that have come out - but in my wildest imagination, I didn't think they would take it as far as they seemingly have in this newest trailer. It looks like Snyder/Nolan have really gone all out this time to tell as realistic a Superman story can be told when Zod comes knocking.

This is still my #1 most anticipated movie this year! Anyone else's?

And we get to see his heat vision!

Gotta say, THIS LOOKS SICK! After the "Deadliest Catch" teaser trailer from last year I had no hope for this movie, but all the buzz and the last couple trailers have me totally pumped for it. I have a feeling this might be the best of all the summer blockbusters.

Ya I have always been a superman fan and I had high hopes for this even when the first teaser came out I was excited and now I am even more excited I am sure we are going to get more than we expecting from this movie its my number 1 most anticipated movie of the year but I am not complaining at all but we haven't seen his freeze breath yet hmmmmm maybe in the next teaser we might see it lol but it don't matter this movie is still going to be the best movie of the summer

Also I love zods helmet I am gonna start sculpting the helmet pretty soon

Yes! I'm was pretty much over superman but these suits and the whole look and tone of the film has won me over. I really like what they did with supes suit, and zods armor kicks ass

Ya the suits are amazing much better than the robes they wore in the old super man films this is going to be amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like Batman Begins. ;)

Reel

I look at the new Krypton garb and I think Game of Thrones and/or Lord of the Rings.

I think its great that they have some complexity to these suits. I think the chain maille texture to the suits is brilliant, and the layers to the costumes make this the most interesting superman world that's been done. The older movies were far too plain, I was never a fan of the reeves suit. The superman world finally has some back story and is more than a few people in plain spandex or puffy black fabric. Zod is now an actually someone to worry about.

This has turned into a Superman film of Superman films!

Only reason I havent seen Ironman 3 is because I know this film is comming out soon. So no need to be dissapointed by IM3.
