Man of Steel (Pre-release)

sorry, should have said no tarnished golden yellow. :p. I just meant that it looks like that poster has been color corrected to remove that particular color from the emblem, leaving just the red on blue.

Yeah, I think it was actually pushed to make it more blue than it would appear in that dark lighting situation (backlit it would appear probably pretty damn black) and whoever did the job was "super" sloppy. :lol

Everything doesn't need to be weathered to look like it belongs in "the real world" ;) I mean, what did the Kryptonions do with their dirty laundry? I guess Supes doesn't have a washing machine in the fortress of solitude :p

MOS Iron Man.jpg

I saw IM3 this weekend. Good, but I think this picture sums it up. :lol

Thor is every bit as powerful as Superman, but with much more combat experience.

How dare you speak ill of Supes! Do we need to banish you to the phantom zone?

Superman is virtually invincible. Thor, not so much. I mean he did get knocked on his A@# but a 2 inch knife in teh avengers. HAHA. But seriously. I still think Superman could take him, however in the new Thor I hope they show what he really can do. Making a lightning storm to destroy hundereds, etc. Enough of the ground combat.

Superman could lay waste to all kinds of foolishness, but has that moral compass issue.

I agree with this take on it:

OldWizard.net » Top 20 Most Powerful Superheroes of All Time

"The #1 most powerful superhero on our list is the Mighty Thor, the Norse god of Thunder himself. Besides being as strong as the Hulk, and just as durable, Thor also has energy manipulation powers that are on par with the Silver Surfer, and magical abilities that have been shown, on occasion, to be as powerful as those of Dr. Strange himself. He is also armed with Mjolnir, the mystical warhammer that has been shown to be capable of opening passageways through space and time, blocking and even absorbing and re-directing all sorts of energy blasts, and bending the elements to its master’s will. Thor has been shown to be able to swing Mjolnir at twice the speed of light (and this was never claimed to the fastest that he could swing it). This guy is a Norse warrior god, trained and skilled in the arts of battle, and he’s been doing it for countless ages. While Thor has usually been shown to rely solely on his fighting ability, super strength, and well nigh invulnerability, he has so many other options available to him if a fight starts going badly that its hard to write a believable comic book battle with him in any kind of real danger. He has complete mastery over the weather, he can open chasms in the earth, he can even drain the soul out of his opponent’s body, or if worse comes to worse, use the dreaded Godblast, an attack that has made the Juggernaut move backwards, and defeated even Galactus. While an argument can be made for any of the top 3 heroes to be in the #1 spot on our list, we chose Thor because of his vast power and versatility."

Valid argument. Can't argue with their thinking. My issue is how he has been protrayed on the big screen. Even looking at the new trailer for Thor. They haven't showed half of what has been described. Most likely because if you show this kind of power (as with Superman's versions where he is basically a demi-god) it would be a boring movie because there would be no real threat of harm except to friends and family.

Thor could take Supes for one reason - MAGIC. People seem to forget Supey don't like magic and it make Supey ouchy. Same goes for Captain Marvel (I REFUSE to call him Shazam - same reason I still say Frankenstein's Monster) Sha... I mean Captain Marvel could clean the floor with Superman - one of his punches would feel the same to Superman as it would you and me.... well, maybe not ME, but all mortals.

Thor was struggling against the Hulk. I think anyone going against the Hulk should have trouble.

Crossfinger for DC/Marvel crossover...

Don't tell me that this doesn't move you more with this score. Music can change everything. They both move me. But JW will always move me more.

Man of Steel Trailer 3: John Williams Re-Edit/Re-Score - YouTube

There's a dissonance though between the music and the visuals. Man of Steel looks like a Snyder film: dark and gritty. John Willam's score is bright and heroic and optimistic. Maybe if the saturation was dialed up in the trailer's color timing it'd work better.

Wow...he looks a little pissed :p

I kind of like the fact that they show him a little pissed, opposed to the always happy or void of emotion character that he has been portrayed before. A little more human. You get in a fight, you get a little pissed off. HAHA

60 second previews of each song on the sound track. Not bad. Gets me excited for the film. Getting close.
