Whew... I am not even that big of a Superman fan and that got me just a bit emotional! Great stuff for such a short teaser. Hoping the whole film has this vibe.

It worries me that it's going to be a teal & orange movie. Worries me a lot.

They have a tendency to push T&O more in trailers than what's in the final film. I've seen a few cases where the trailers are just dripping with it, but the color in the film is perfectly normal. I wouldn't worry about just yet.

the pa kent version is horrible, didnt do anything for me

no glasses...
And most of all: Why does Superman leave 2 chemtrails? is he gassy?
finally, i can say, i could easily do a voiceover for this, and make it into a bank commercial or something. its a good trailer, but it could be for anything.

Maybe he's trying to find himself on the sea? I don't know.
No glasses, probably something like smallville. He didn't need them until he became Superman and needed to hide who he really was. If this is the 'finding himself' movie they described a couple years ago, he wouldn't need glasses yet.
2 trails, could be the idea was that he was moving so fast the air parts around him. Of course, for that to happen it'd be 360 degrees around him, but they may not have figured that out or just thought 2 looked cooler.

I think the whole sea thing is just his trip to the barren ice region for the fortress of solitude. They could have some really cool scenes with him saving someones life while crab fishing or even saving the whole boat before leaving. There is so much they could do with Superman that it should be epic as the skys the limit! (almost literally as he can go to space)

Superman can fly, why would he need to play Deadliest Catch to get to the Fortress?
Why bother saving a boat either? You know he's going to save whatever plane or helicopter Lois is in when he meets her and then tell everyone it's still the safest form of travel.

These 2 trailers still haven't convinced me.
I'm more of a Marvel man myself, but Superman was my first hero as a child, but there are too many thanks that feel off about this film to make it feel like a Superman movie to me.
Massive thumbs down for not using the John Williams theme. John Ottman did an amazing job re-orchestrating Williams work, and also scored Superman Returns very well.
Hans Zimmer will no doubt just have a single droning note play over the entire scene of Superman's first flight in this new film.
I hope that those of you going to see it next year have a nice time, and enjoy the film, but for me what I consider to be Superman ended when Brandon Routh did his last fly-by before the end credits of Superman Returns.

So true.. I really don't get it.. The whole trailer just left me and the missus saying WTF.. :confused Where's Kansas etc?? As jcoffman said, it was Deadliest Catch to me at the start, then turned into the Hulk trying to hitch a ride, with Maximus Decimus Meridius narrating all put to the score of the Fellowship escaping Moria..

With regards to why he is on the boat and doesn't just fly, it has been said maybe he is trying to discover himself. Maybe he doesnt want to fly. Just because we can run doesn't mean we have to run everywhere we go. I didn't find the trailer particualy great and it left me wanting a lot more. But I am still hopefull.
