Making of the first Godzilla suit video.

I always liked the early Prototype Godzilla, that I have a maquette of. My fave of course is the actual suit they went with for the first film, but the bighead prototype has a certain charm I cannot deny. :)

I always like the snappy hats worn by Japanese film directors. :cool Here's Honda.

And if you need to know where Godzilla's vulnerable spots are... well he doesn't have any.

We can only hope that Godzilla has perfect matter-to-energy conversion (for firing that mouth-beam of his, for example), and thus does not need to poop. :sleep

Then again, we've never seen Godzilla either eat OR poop! :eek

He only gets woken up, climbs up onto land, devastates Tokyo, and then slinks off into the sea again. Every few years. :lol

A few interesting Godzilla related books (in English) are

Of course there are many many fantastic illustrated Godzilla books... in Japanese. I have a few of these too but cannot read them. :unsure

And let us never forget... if there's one thing Godzilla is proud of, it would have to be his huge pair of balls. :sleep

And I guess it's not true we never see Godzilla eat. He can occasionally be seen chewing thoughtfully on the 3:15 from Osaka.

Man, I used to have SO much Godzilla stuff when I was little. Toys, models, shirts and it all disappeared on various moves over the years. Awesome video on the suit and how they got to that point. Really cool stuff!

An Unauthorized Guide to Godzilla Collectibles (Schiffer Book for Collectors) by Sean Linkenback

Sean lives here in Atlanta and it's great to see this book again. A great deal of it was shot in our Tattoo Studio, using the collection Shane Morton had on display there. I just saw the "Going Atomic Godzilla" from the cover tonight in fact. He's about 3.5 feet tall.
Laffo.

Growing up, I used to have the Godzilla model kit that had the glow in the dark spine fins. I think it melted when our house burned. (not a Godzilla attack, just bad wiring) Somewhere in a box, I have the last US movie Godzilla mechanical toy that turns its upper body and roars that I got as a gift. I need to dig that out.
