Making a Kermit the Frog Puppet

I have always wanted to try to make my own Kermit the Frog puppet. I would like to try to make it look and feel as close to the actual puppet as I can. I think I know how to make his arms/hands and legs/feet, I'm sure what kind of stuff should go inside to allow it movement. I'm just not sure how to make his body that keeps it's shape and head to fit my hand and arm. I'm almost not sure what fabric to use the whole puppet and the light green thing around his neck. If anyone has make one themselves or can point me in the right direction or if there are any youtube videos that could help answer my question. Thank you everyone in advance for your help.
