Makin' big arse gunz!

Here's a bunch of pictures of Mike F. and I kludge-ing together two BFG's for a photographer client of ours.

Both of the gunz are built on wooden boards as a base. And then they're detailed out with all kinds of junk from the shop and sintra board.

Look what you can make with junk and a little effort!

First pics: Naked plastic. Looks like heck.

Here's the pair under black primer.

Once you homogenize the surface color, it starts to "look like something" as opposed to "looks like dookie".

After i got the final detailing going on and then hit them with primer, I realized how well they'd probably fit into Classic Battlestar Galactica! Especially the BIG one.

And now.. the finished articles.

After making sure all the surfaces were buried under flat black primer, I rubbed them down with light hand-applications of silver Rub-N-Buff and then dropped a couple dry-transfer sets of numbers on the sides in strategic areas to make them look "official". :cool

Then I plopped them in a box and sent them off to the photographer. :cry

Those look great, i've just done something similar cludging stuff together for a gun for my sons costume, works a treat and gets rid of some of the junk cluttering up the workshop!

Any parts lists :) Is that a Super NES bazooka light gun handle? Awesome stuff, I wanna attempt this soon, you've inspired me!:thumbsup

Yes. The local Thrift Store is always getting in that kind of stuff and selling it for a couple of bucks. Considering I hate making gun handles, I'll cough up a couple bucks just to avoid having to make one! :)

Need one that works. Have some off world business to attend to, and need something preferrably in the 90 gigawatt range.
