If I recall, Mad Max 2 certainly had many different vehicles. First off, the budget was able to afford a stunt version of the interceptor/pursuit special and had to repurchase the original vehicle. Secondly, I remember many of the marauder vehicles from the film (the Chrysler hardtop, Landau, XA bat car, the two Holdens, the cop car, and the Mack and Snake trucks). Finally, the budget was definitely high enough for custom building the Lone Wolf, Humngus Machine and the 3 or 4 dune buggies that kept getting rebuilt. Thunderdome had a big car budget for sure, but I’m pretty sure Mad Max 2 wasn’t exactly a “shoestring budget” production.MAD MAX - BEYOND THUNDERDOME had the big budget for the cars. I don't think MAD MAX 2 did.
That’s interesting that your buddy happens to be in Oregon, because I actually live there! I’ve been starting to notice a larger Mad Max following here in the northwest over the past few years (Mad Max Cars being based in Washington, Roadwar Northwest). In fact, I don’t live too far from the Columbia river border so that’s a plus. Great to hear about your Torino too, I have a relative who owns a 1971 model with a 351 Cleveland.thanks! =) just a torino 500, 302v2 c4 transmission. no frills. 2:73 rear end, great on interstates and around town. torinoceptor is a a term my buddy in oregon came up with. he actually has an australian falcon xb done up as car from fury road. met him through my Facebook page and at wasteland weekend 2017. got to ride in his BoB in the saturday car show parade at WW. =)
