The police blaster is "clean" at the moment... I haven't decided if I want to weather it or not. It's a beastie, too.
The kit was a joy to build. Parts were uber clean. Very minimal filling or sanding. I think I spend a whopping hour and a half on prep, and most of that was fixing what the dog destroyed. All the parts went together effortlessly too. Total start to finish was about 3 working hours.
I used John Deer yellow on the main body. The metallic parts are Dupli-Color Millennium Silver.
The clip "parkerizing" was achieved by spraying ultra-flat black, then rubbing in some powdered pencil lead. I then sealed it with hair spray.
Due to my dog eating the grip, I ended up covering the whole part in Bondo, and sanded the entire thing smooth. Because the molded screw heads were lost from the sanding, I bored them out and used heads cut from the real thing to replace them.
If you haven't gotten one, I'd highly recommend this piece to add to your collection.
Now....on to the eye candy.
Enjoy.
