zing! but it's Clo not MD.oh that’s marvelous!! ( pun intended lol )![]()
oh I see what you mean, l hacked together 2 versions. You mean like v1Go back to my original post about that layer. I say it’s another vest style layer like his Return of the Jedi vest and the tabard drapes over that. Not two tabards. The difference is that in this version the tabard connects to the Obi in back as opposed to draped around his neck like Return of the Jedi.
layer 3…

Eruonen, can you sew? I can hand sew some things, but not really haha. I need to learn though, nobody makes the things I want quite accurately enoughwww.therpf.com
Ack!!! Never heard of Clo!! I’ll have to check it out!!zing! but it's Clo not MD.
It's the same thing as MD just with some better features and designed for real world production. MD is the game/film side which is kinda pointless since you want to build out your inventory of graded garments for reuse in other projects.Ack!!! Never heard of Clo!! I’ll have to check it out!!
Great work by the way!!
That’s what’s confusing to me too. Four layers seems like a lot, and would be rather bulkyNo, it should go down all the way. It's very much like the sleeveless tunic beneath it except that the area were it overlaps is lower. I also believe this layer is the same material as the tabard and obi. If they took a direct influence from Return of the Jedi, then this is raw silk. I think that layer is what you see hanging past the waist along with the tabard. The other layers are probably all past the waist too but they probably tailored it so that the next outter layer was slightly longer than the one before.
The one thing I have a hard time understanding is why they put so many layers. Unless they just liked the way all the layers looked i the front criss-crossing like that.

Right, this would be the simplest way I think they could have done it. Certainly the simplest to reproduce. But productions have been known to construct things in counterintuitive ways before.I think what Mara is saying is this(not including the pleated undertunic.) I didn't fit so all the skirts line up perfect but you get the idea.

Ah, two sleeve would make the reference photos make more sense. It’ll be really informative whenever these are in people’s handsView attachment 1545493
The Hot Toys figure suggests four layers. Two long-sleeve shirts, a vest, then the stole/tabard thingy. Though they say its arm wraps in the description.
- One (1) black-colored Jedi cloak
- One (1) black-colored long sleeve suit
- One (1) black-colored tunic
- One (1) under belt
- One (1) black-colored belt
- One (1) pair of black-colored arm wraps
- One (1) pair of black-colored pants
- One (1) pair of black-colored boots
Hot Toys gave EP3 Obi-Wan Qui-Gon tabbards. That's a pretty decent **** up in my opinion, so I don't fully trust them.
I kinda suspect that it's supposed to be. Not that is is executed the same way. But what makes me think that. Is the under most tunic as those unmistakable pleates stitched in. But I could be totally wrong. But is the hot toys the same exact costume we see in BoBF? Seeing all the costume design changes on fett I wonder if they used the same cloths from mando or did a whole new setup
It is not the same actor.. so if they aren’t the same physical size I can see them making a new one
