Limited Run Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 37)

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

Still looks great! If you're going to have a scratch & nick sale, I'm all in.

You'll find me on the 42nd wait list... somewhere near the bottom.

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

I'm in the process of moving into a new place and never had the chance to sit down and check this out. I saw this coming the minute I heard the emitters were being shipped too, it's deplorable and I can't imagine how pissed and disappointed you must be Dan. That being said - the last thing I want to do is make this harder on you. As long as that threading is taken care of (so it can be put together) I'll be happy. A few scratches or nicks are minute problems in the scope of things, I'm never one to be a demanding customer. I appreciate everything you've done and hope this project continues to move in a positive direction.

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

Hey guys. So I fought with the shop yesterday. They're going to tap the holes, and they've agreed to fix the few emitters that are really bad. Most of them really are ok, and any of the nicks look to me like something that could be cleaned up in 15 min with a little sand paper and steel wool.

What I'm planning on doing is have the shop tap all the holes in the emitter and also have them remake those few emitters where the nicks are particularly noticeable. Between these new emitters and the other ones where there was no damage at all, I should have enough pristine sabers to satisfy everyone on the "Problem" list. Everyone who is planning on making a weathered saber and responded "No problem" to my earlier PM about the pommels will get a saber that may have a couple small nicks in the largest emitter ring (and as I said before, these are really quite small and can be cleaned up quite easily if you wish). I'm working off of the assumption that if you were OK with the pommels as is, then these emitters shouldn't be a problem either (please message me if this is not the case).

Also, just in case anyone is wondering, I will not be keeping a pristine saber for myself. I will also be accepting one of the weathered ones for my collection.;)

Thank you everyone for hanging in here with me. I really appreciate it.
I really wish that these issues hadn't come up. But, please remember that these still will be the most accurate replicas of this prop ever made.

-best
Dan

You're the man, Dan.

I like what i see on the pics, and at anything else than a Afb looking saber it should be no problem.

Awesome! Hopefully these douches will learn how to properly care for SOFT machined metal parts... otherwise they should get the heck out of that business.

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 12)

The emitters are at the shop again getting taped and cleaned up.

I'm going to Canada for a week vacation, so I'll be away next week. But hopefully, if everything goes to plan, everything should be ready to move when I get back on the 19th.

Welcome to Canada. Can you just bring my lightsaber with you? I can pay you with our pretty coloured money. Kidding. Have a great vacation.
