Interest Luke ROTJ Hero Lightsaber Kit (first article pics added post #189)

Re: Luke ROTJ Hero Lightsaber Kit (pics added post #41)

O.K.
Been very busy working on the first article, lots of programming to approve.
The following two pics are just about where I want to be. I have requested some changes on the pommel but man I am pleased with the results.
I will be starting a F/S thread soon with payment info and expected time of completion.
All input welcome but I feel we are about as close as I can get.
Check out the pics.

Looks awesome!! Just a small suggestion. I think the emitter's flat edge is a little too wide. Looks like the original was a little narrow on that edge.

I'm hoping you'll offer control boxes separately for those who just need a box, or want an extra to make both the MoM and the ISYCANL versions. I would be interested in one box, maybe two, pending price.

I also think that the pommel cubes might need some adjustment. It might be the angle of the photo, but something looks off to me when compared with some reference photos.

These are all pictures of the metal "hero" saber. This was presumably built for the cut scene where Luke builds his saber. The first bunch of pics were taken in the archives. The last two are from one of the exhibits. There were also resin versions made but they were all cast from a mold of this one.

Here's a good one for scale:

so the v1 is incredibly smaller then the v2? as the v2 is much longer then a graflex

I believe the V2 was the same saber that Obi-Wan used during the Vader fight in ANH. This "hero" modeled after that saber. I could seriously be wrong about that, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Technically, the V2 is the "hero" as it is used the most as the hand prop. The V1, or the one most call the hero, was only used in one scene which was cut from the final film. This was actually a dressed up stunt saber. The turned aluminum sabers in Jedi were the stunt sabers. The one time there is a closeup of a turned aluminum saber is the "I see you have constructed a new lightsaber" shot. This is also a dressed up stunt.

so the stunts aren't cast of the v2? this would explain why the v2 is much larger then the graflex?
