Brian, if you are going to participate and engage in discussion forums, you have to realize that not everyone doing the discussing is going to agree with your viewpoints.
Otherwise, it's not really a discussion is it?

For the millionth time, I am NOT stating a position that I believe you are lying.
I don't have a position. Based on what I've seen, I'm not ruling out that everything you have stated is factual and correct to the letter, just as I'm not ruling out that it is not. Equally.
It simply is not enough for me. And history in these matters enough for me to give pause when it comes to stuff like this.

I'm sorry you see this as an attack, but it is nothing of the sort.
If there were not those unafraid to question Ainsworth we would all be drinking his cool-aid right now (again, not saying you are just like AA).

Then the question becomes "Why say anything at all?"

Seriously, if you have doubts, after all of this time, why not keep them to yourself? There is evidence to the contrary when it comes to Ainsworth doing anything. There are pics of Brian doing some sculpting. There are pics of Liz Moore sculpting. Why offer up your doubts? What you have done is NOT discussion, it is calling the guy's integrity into question. So, basically, without a stitch of evidence to the contrary, you are trying to cast doubt.

It's just bad form.

Gino - your idea of a discussion is to put your opinion that is never backed with a single fact. I don't ask you to agree or disagree with me.

As these are your words let's start a discussion :-

" Brian may not have solely sculpted the entire set of trooper armor and vader items without additional assistance. I believe there is a potential for there to be an exaggeration of role/credit much like the way that AA is doing so."

Now let's not be under any misconception - in this post you are stating that I may have had assistance in sculpting. Discuss!!!!!

1. Why do you think I would have needed any assistance sculpting Vader etc.?
2. What exaggeration of my role or any credit are you suggesting I have taken?
3. I've clearly stated that I did all the sculptural work on Vader and the Stormtrooper armour - you on the other hand are saying I may have had help - I'm telling you I didn't - so you're suggesting I'm a liar.
Please note : AA is taking credit for everyone's work having done none of the artwork whatsoever so where is the connection you're implying to me?

Thanks for your comments. I realise that it can't all be good in life or on forums and I've certainly had my share of respect and appreciation on here and other forums.

To me there is only one way to deal with someone who is out to cause trouble for whatever reason and that is to face them head on.

One person will not deter me from participating on this forum or any other ( with the exception of Gino's site which I was of course banned from :lol)
 
Thank you, Mr. Muir, for putting up with this nonsense and standing up for the truth. Your fine character shows, yet again.

I can't help but find it ironic that Gino's ego-driven rhetoric has inadvertently aligned himself with Ainsworth and his camp, as the ONLY people in the world who would doubt your involvement in the creation of these characters. I think it goes without saying that any doubt being cast reflects more on the individuals doubting than it does upon you, sir.

i knew one would turn up lol

I even founmd an old face moulding with hat little cheek mark on it...I noticed that one Lucas displayed in court did not have this...I must have rubbed the mark out about mid production as I continually clean and services the moulds as production progresses to get the best finish.

I thought he was merely being willfully and obtusely cynical: the fact there is a history of bad blood between the two of you casts things in a new light.

Often those who set themselves up in their own petty fiefdoms react thus when their authority is called into question.

That is why it is ironic. You are "aligned" in the sense that you are the ONLY person other than AA who doubts Mr. Muir. You may have no love for Ainsworth, but your personal history with Mr. Muir has caused you to come up on the same side of the fence as AA, hence "inadvertently".
 
Im now waiting for GINO to announce that he sculpted vader and the troopers....

Gino must be almost as delusional as AA..

All was fine until I showed my Return of the Jedi Vader from the original mould. I was then shown the real side of Gino in one of his 'discussions' and decided to remove myself from his website that he had invited me to join by being banned as I did not want to appear to support him in any way.
 
You know its this kind of B.S that keeps other people in the biz from joining the site and participating, Brian has been more open to questions and comments than he needed to be, if he was building himself up he would have claimed credit for the entire stormtrooper suit and sculpting everything that noone else had allready claimed responsibility for, he didn't he gave credit to a person no longer with us, that to me speaks volumes of a persons character.
Gino your displays would be nothing without Brians initial involvement, he created the icons you so lovingly show off, all the paint drips and marks and smudges mean nothing without the underlying sculptural elements which he created, and if your vaders are cast from screen used pieces or whatever the story is, you'd have nothing in your little man cave to show off.
Give it a rest please

Seeing as you have bought my name into something tied with AA again I should answer it.

Brian, I'm really not sure what problem you have with me? I have no ties with Andrew at all. I just happen to live down the road and helped him with the parts with his blaster which incidentally he has made inaccurately despite me lending him real parts. And yes I do take what he says with a pinch of salt. I have always been very open on my stance with what AA says about his sculpting of the stormtroopers. It's not true that he did and I said that last time you tried to say that I have "Ties" . Hell I've even tried to get him to give credit to the real sculptors but he still insists that's him. So please stop trying to insinuate that I am "in with AA"

I'm not.

He has not done anything bad to me and I have nothing personal against him. He may be delusional when it comes to saying he created the stormtrooper and yes, I think that is wrong. Credit should go to those who deserve it. But he has always been helpful and civil towards me. I simply went to him all those years ago with some questions on vac forming which correct me if I'm wrong is exactly what he did do on the Stormtroopers.


Brian I respect you , I bought 2 copies of your book, and I think highly of you for sculpting the things I love about Star Wars but there is no need for you to keep bringing my name into this debate. I'm still at a loss to why you do?
