I ordered this off of Daniel's webpage

http://www.danielreeve.co.nz/Merchandise/

for my wife awhile back and it just got here....

hand printed Bilbo birthday party invitation
personally made out to her.. came with a full 8.5"x11"
New Line Cinema certificate, and a nice half page
"thank you" note signed by Daniel on cardstock paper.

I would suggest if anyone wants one NOT to hesitate,
and order one today ..

I'll be going back for the hand printed ring
inscription in about 5 minutes ..

complete package (with shipping envelope) here and YES
there is a very sturdy piece of cardboard inside to
keep the mail handlers from folding it up

Or you could do what my wife and I did - go on a tour of New Zealand and meet Mr Reeve. :) We also bought invitations (which he charges for, quite rightly) - but he was ready and willing to sit with his quill pen and write whatever you asked for, in whichever of the LotR scripts you requested, for nothing.

The man is as nice as you could possibly imagine. He has a wealth of tales about his involvement with LotR, Narnia and Kong, and he brought out endless notebooks, sketches and maps for us to pore over. His only caveat was that we didn't take 'flat-on' photos of anything, as he didn't want it to suddenly show up on eBay - which seems fair enough.

One of the invitations we got was intended as a present for a family member, and Daniel was kind enough to do a 'piece' to my video camera, introducing himself to her by name and saying happy birthday. The man has real class.

Me and the family will get down to NZ eventually... just got an email update from NZair and prices have doubled from what they were only a few months ago... *sigh*

wanna sign up for the Red Carpet 12 Tour .

That looks awesome, thanks for sharing it with us as I didnt know these were available. What's the turn around on one of these items?

Dave, Red Carpet Tours is who we went with. If you go, you won't be sorry. They've thought of everything. And Daniel Reeve isn't the only person you'll meet who was involved with the films. :)
