Lost season 6 with spoilers beware

But that cut...yeah, makes me think that's a bit of slippage between worlds, like maybe Island Jack is going to have a fatal neck injury forcing SW Jack to step in, give up life in SW world with his son, and take up the role of island protector, leaving neck-wound Island-world Jack to die in his place in the SW world, held in his son's arms and surrounded by the SW Losties who will perhaps sense what he's given up to save them all.

That's great; I love that. Nice one.

I thought the neck wound was just the merging of realities... but maybe I was just assuming Jack had an injury already from all that he's been going through in SW world. I never thought about it being a wound from the future that we haven't seen in island world.

oh, so confusing - they can make anything happen.

Desmond seems to be awful sure about what he's doing. I'm guessing that he has been moving somewhat freely through time and/or both dimensions and we'll see that Sunday. I'm also cautiously leaning towards the theory that he will be the eventual protector of the island.

But Desmond's not a candidate...I think he's the wrench in the works, not the protector.

I agree, desmond seems likely to be the ultimate protector..........the rest will "die" to be released and ultimately they will continue in their "alternate" lives by the end of the show............except desmond who will be able to move back and forth at will.

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. Aside from Desmond, everyone else lives happlily ever after.

His ability to move between realities seems to be his only reason for being at this point. Once they resolve the issue of MIB and settle things down on the island, the sideways world vs. island world crisis won't be a factor anymore, and neither will Desmond. I don't necessarily think he'll die (Kate, Sawyer, Ben and Hurley all have targets on their backs, but I think Desmond's fan-fave relationship with Penny might save him), but I absolutely don't think he'll wind up the island's protector. We'll see!!! :thumbsup

They could have a Sun and Jin exit...

Did anyone care even 1/100th about them as much as they do about Des and Penny? Sawyer/Juliet, Sawyer/Kate, Jack/Kate etc etc. None of those relationships has resonated the way Des and Penny have. I agree--Cuse and Lindeloff will be hung from the nearest tree if they don't let those two end up happy. Sadly, that may only happen in the sideways world, where they've only just met. The great thing about this sideways world as a narrative device is that NO ONE is safe and they can kill anyone at any time because, well, at least they're happy in the sideways world...

Actually, I do. Jin was a plick at the first, and he has come to be a damned fine human being and a husband. The fact that he chose to die with his wife is to me what Capital L Love is. In another universe he would dig himself out of his own grave to avenge her murder, his love is so strong.

Juliet/Sawyer/Kate/Jack/back to Juliet has been one big emo pity party with with the writers pulling their names out in pairs each week to see who hooks up with whom. Mostly I feel sorry for Jack, since everytime he seems he's about to get Kate, she skips off to Sawyer's bed, leaving him looking like he's about to cry.

Des and Penny? I'll grant you that one, but if the writers killed off Charlie just as he was getting his act together for Claire, and Sayid had to watch Nadia get turned into a speed bump, nobody is safe.

Not to mention, Sayid just was about to hook up with Shannon and she got popped. And Hurley with Libby, there is some bad luck for romance on that show.

I'm thinking this theory makes the most sense... they all have to die on the island to have that "happy ending" in the sideways world.

Wow, a recreation of the last supper... how original.

How many shows have done that now?

Sawyer called MIB "Flocke", has anyone called him that on the show before? That was a great nod to the fans, if not.(y)thumbsup:thumbsup

I thought he said “Flocke” too but after listening again I don’t think so. I sat up when I first heard it and jumped the Tivo back just to listen again.

The line is:
“If Locke wanted Desmond dead, why didn’t he just kill him?”

I think we’re hearing “If Locke” or “IfLocke” together… (check the 14:45 mark on Hulu). Don’t wont to rain on anyone's parade, just commenting.
