Lost in Space flight console help

Can someone help me with the LIS flight console. I'm unable to figure out the moire patterns that create the moving lines on the display. I'm fairly certain it is a pattern over a seperate spinning disk pattern, but I'm unable to figure how they get that effect. Does anyone know what the two patterns are?
