I am looking for some new tunes to add to my music collection, and specifically I am looking for soft relaxing music...no voices, just soothing music.

Here are some songs I have currently:

Peace Orchestra - Who Am I
Santana - Samba Pa Ti (acoustic
Zero 7 (some cool stuff)
Jesse Cook (more cool stuff)
I would include Nora Jones, but I can't stand her voice...

I'm also looking for soft jazz and piano music...anything to help unwind and take your mind off the events of the day. Please feel free to suggest any music (name either group/album) that has helped you to relax...I'm open to anything...

The Alumn UTOPIA is nice and relaxing.

also look for stuf by SIGUR ROS and ENIGMA.

i took all 3 of these on holiday and if had become anymore relaxed i would have slipped into unconciousness.

hope this helps.

Lee.

The Sigur Ros suggestion is an excellent one...there are vocals on the tracks but they are amazing....for cool kinda "zone out" music try Mogwai...and if you dig the sounds of just a guy and his acoustic guitar you might want to check out Jose Gonzales.

Pretty much any of James Newton Howard's stuff if your into orchestral stuff.

Most of The Village soundtrack is soft, soothing or inspirational violins.

Most of the Signs soundtrack is uplifting stuff.... check them out.

glad you liked my suggestions.

i used the "shadows in silence " track as background music to some of my scuba diving video.
