I've seen this vid before. That's definitely a Graflex with the tip painted black. I suppose it's possible that this ended up as the "ROTJ" Vader Graflex-based stunt (which also has the end painted black), but it could have also been used simply as a stand in.

Yep, just like the Luke severed hand saber its a graflex stuck to a Kobold. Not the same prop, since the hand saber is built differently and in the same state today.

That COULD have gone onto be the rotj vader saber, since that saber, too, is missing the clamp and 3 cell bottom.

You know it's pretty awesome Dave knew the difference between the lightsaber props most of the people who actually worked on the props have a hard time telling which is which.
