This was the original helmet I did and I decided to remake the entire thing. It was originally a commissioned piece that was done before the Avengers was out so I didn't have any clear images.as you can see in these pics the horns are wrong and the sides are about and inch too short and the sides closest to the front don't have any detail. This was my first time using clay and I was not happy after popping out a second cast so I changed it.

I then cut it and added Bondo to a raw cat and did the detailing. Once that was finished and ready to mold I siliconed it and popped out a new cast. Then made templates for the horns by making a grid on poster board after figuring out sizing.

Raw cast pulled straight out of the mold. I am HORRIBLE with taking progress pics and my fiancé mostly keeps up with my threads on here because I just sit in the garage for hours and work with no thought of taking progress pics or updating any WIP threads which is why this one is kind of done in retrospect.

Thank you very much. My first version I did out of clay and had never done clay, but someone else enquirer about buying one so I decided to start it over with Bondo and measuring and I got the desired result.

What paint are you using and do I need the black base coat?

These paints that are displayed are just sponged on acrylic gold over a black primer and then sealed with a crystal clear gloss sealer. We are about to try a new paint which is just the krypton brand gold metallic. The only reason we used the acrylics paints are to be able to get to the aged metal look from the avengers film.

That's kinda brilliant doing aged look in reverse. I always end up doing too much of the black or whatever to get that look.

Updated helmet. It is now only 4 lbs and fits comfortably and is sturdy. New paint job on this one that I personally like better, might go back but this is where the helmet stands.

. I would be willing to knock a couple bucks off for you to handle the minor touch ups and paint it if you want, but I have to create and attach my horns every time from scratch. The shape and style of these horns makes them impossible to cast, they are not as easy as the one from the Thor version with their straight down attachment style and because of that I wasted time and effort trying to cast them. I also install straps to my helmets to make them sturdier and I do that with all of the ones I ship out.
