Link armor inspired by BOTW

I am building a Breath of the wild inspired Link costume as fast as I can. I say "inspired" because I am not building any one set of armor or look. I just love that he wears a range of tunics/armor/weapons and I plan on building something similar.

I want to take these concepts and make a "real life" link.

That being said. I have always love the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. SOOO... I will probably start with those weapons

Subbed. I'm excited to see what you do. I've been doing some designs myself for building on some of the weapons/shields/bows from the game. My personal favorite outfits from the game were Classic Tunic, Tunic of the Wild, and the Hylian tunic.

Awesome!
I hope you like The direction Im going. I am hoping my Link could walk on to the set of Game of Thrones or Vikings and fit in but still feel like Link.

EVA foam. It's from 5 below. I just looks funny because its pink.

Update. I used flex seal to fill in gaps and threw a quick coat of paint. I think i want to try again on the paint job. and then paint the eagle (or whatever it is) on the bottom

That looks pretty good for foam!

As far as my adventure was concerned, I the outfit I rocked for most of the game was the Hylian Tunic (dyed green, of course) with Hylian Trousers, both upgraded, with the Amber earrings. Weapons for the majority of the game: Royal Bow, Knight's Sword, and Hylian shield.

I made some progress last night on the tunic. It is all just roughed in and the belts are just their for mock up purposes. I know the green is not BOTW green but I am not going for an exact replica. I am using it more for inspiration.

Quick update. I added some piping around the bottom of the Tunic and back of the next. Then I started adding some paint details. I found a photo of the Link armor I am going for. Again. I am not going to Game Accurate. Just style.

Moving right along. Last night I distressed and added more depth to the tunic. The belts are still just place holders but I might use them in the finished product.

I used the Hylian Tunic for most of my adventure as well. I left it standard to give me that Zelda II feel. Once I got the Clothes of the Wild I switched and finished with that. This is coming along nicely. I just grabbed some foam to play with.

I had a ton of fun this weekend! I started on the Master Sword and the Shoulder Armor. I am still going to add strapping and details to the armor. It was my first time trying to make foam look like leather and I am really pleased with how it turned out.

Every time I make a piece of this costume I realize there is four more things that need to be created. Make a sword, it needs a hilt. Make a hilt, it needs strapping.
It is a ton of fun but a lot of work. Here is some of the updates

Yes. I just wrapped a piece around the sword, Adjusted for some wiggle room, and seamed in up the back.
