LINGERIE DIAMOND NET BODY STOCKING

I've been looking at this type of LINGERIE/ HOSIERY DIAMOND NET BODY STOCKING for some time now & I think it would be perfect for the Predator's Body Netting.
It should be a helluva lot more cost effective & easier than going through all the work of cutting apart & stitching back together a bunch of pieces of fishing net replacements or any other type of netting thats not already manufactured to fit the shape of a human body. I'll probably get it anyway, but I still wanted to ask if anyone here has worn anything like this before w/ a Predator suit.
Is there anybody here willing to admit they've worn women's lingerie ...oh, I'm referring ONLY as being worn for the purposes of a Predator costume bodynetting?

I sent mumbaki one i got of ebay that was too small for me. He said it worked great for him. Give him a shout.

GLAD 2 KNOW, THANKS B!

I did figure the difference in body size was likely to be a problem for this type of application. So I found the one store on ebay that sells this exact same big diamond body net stocking for the larger 1x-3x Plus Sizes. From a few of the "Plus size" fitting dimensions/body weight charts I googled, it appears this Plus Size one should fit almost any Pred suit to PERFECTION, even when taking into account that it'll have to fit over a fake muscle body suit as well.

*I gotta say, the research involved w/ finding this particular item was by far, the easiest research I've ever done thanks to the rather image friendly websites I was "forced" to visit!

i think that 1s diamonds r 2 wide....the golie net thing is a great idea

The one in the pic above is just the one I preferred the best, b cuz I don't want the netting to over power the skin suit beneath it. The one above is actually very close in the size & shape of the netting seen in AVP, but they are available in several different sizes of diamond shaped patterns & other shapes & patterns as well. I'd originally used a replacement fishing net on my suit last year, it looked alright but as the night went on it'd get twisted & would also get snagged & hook onto other parts which made it a real pain to deal w/. I'd also found it to b quite a pain to taylor regular netting material to fit snug & proportioned on the shape of a body. Figure this would eliminate the majority of those problems.

Good idea! most important is if the fabric is sturdy enough, because we men are a bit less delecate than women.

That is correct. I have used that type of netting for myself. It does fit the Predator costumes nicely, BUT BEWARE! To get it to fit a man's size, even the plus sizes, STRETCHES the netting more than it is supposed to be, making it really fragile. But these are pretty cheap and can be easily replaced.

Good call, kurt!

That's what I'd figured could be the case w/ this netting...its just not as strong as we need it 2 b. I was thinking I might b able 2 prevent some spots of the net from snapping by coating it w/ some type of clear coating like Mod Podge, Clear Plastidip, or something like that once I have the netting over my Pred skin.

Not sure if thats the way I'll actually go when I get to that point or not, but even if a few of the strings snap, oh well...I could always claim it happened as a "hunting accident", right?

hey mac,
I used the same netting my self thanks to bovine13, your right about "netting to over power the skin suit beneath it" you need the skin to be noticed more, the diamond shapes are perfect size...I preffer this kind of netting

Can anyone please send a link to where one might purchase the above mentioned netting from?
I myself was thinking along the lines of a goalie net but didn't want to fork out for a complete new goal just to rip the netting to shreds

I then thought about not having netting altogether, but I'd like to try my suit with and without before finally deciding.

Thanks

Yeah, although I do still wish that this outfit would b mandatory for a couple women I know!!!

So, does the one u got come w/ the girl from the ad too?!?

I see one flaw with this item...it doesn't cover the arms.

I know, I know...that does suck. :) I tried to locate a net body suit that did, but there was one problem I kept running into. Here's what I found...

I'd searched everywhere online for one that covered the arms as well & though it was relatively easy to find net body suits like the pic shown below, the biggest problem I ran into was that none of them were ever available in a "Plus/Queen Size". All those I found like the image below that have netting on the arms are ONLY made "to fit most weighing between 90-160 lbs.". WHICH WILL NEVER WORK OUT after considering it needs to fit over the Mr. Incredible muscle suit that I'm using for my Predator skin suit.

HOWEVER, I did figure out two possible options for achieving net coverage on the arms/biceps:
The first is to simply order the exact same netting, but in the smaller & cheaper pantyhose version (shown below) which costs only $6.00 (+ $4.50 s/h) from the same ebay store I got the large diamond net body stocking from which is seen in the first post of this thread.

The only other option I thought of that could work is to simply cut off the area of netting which is just below the shin/knee area (which would be covered by the shin armor anyway) & using this said excess material as coverage for the arms/biceps. But I'm not 100% sure if this will work out well until I actually receive my net suit sometime next week, but I will post an update on whether it'll work or not later next week.

My wife purchased something like this for her female Predator costume. She got a 2 piece set with the shirt and pants as separates. We got the smaller diameter squares because it looks more like the type on the movie costumes than the larger squares do.

I see one flaw with this item...it doesn't cover the arms.

I noticed that myself and really got a headache trying to find suitable netting for the whole body with arms at a desirable size. But in looking at my costume, I realized that my AVP version has the shoulder armor that really only exposed very little in the bicep area since the AVP armor comes down further. And with the dreads, necklace and other details, minimal exposure was a fair exchange for finding good netting...

Well I'm sure that it won't fit my size I'm 6 " 4' :) No problem I will make it from a sturdy net what I can purchase in the Netherlands.
