Light-up Eye Ball. Help!

Any tips for how to rig a light-up eyeball beneath a thin prosthetic appliance? Is there a very thin battery-powered LED for such a thing?

It's for an original design, but picture the Terminator appliance/glowing eyeball. All tips are appreciated!

This is a pic I grabbed from the net, but the concept is similar to what I need. How do I make that eyeball light up? Thanks!

You can get chip LEDs that run on watch batteries from places that sell lighting for model trains. Be aware that you will have to back it and will not be able to see out of that eye, so be careful how you put it together and how and where you wear it.

Ok. I will check that out. I wasn't planning on seeing out of that eye anyway. What do you mean by be careful? Sounds ominous.

Hobby Viper, check out XRobots' youtube video on LED lights for his Iron Man helmet. He has a method to protect the wearer's eyes:

I can remember seeing a facial appliance in stores years ago when T2 first came out, might be able to find one on ebay or something.
If you wanna go the DIY route you might be able to use EL wire and a small lens to get the lit up eye effect, while retaining your vision.

maybe a decade ago people used to make these led magnetic things and throw them up onto buildings and signs for some reason. they were basically an led with the contacts taped to a watch battery. the flat ones used in computer motherboards.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the feedback and suggestions. I still have some research to do and will definitely be checking out some of the suggestions you guys provided above. I'm sure I'll be looking for more tips as I go! Thanks again!

This is exactly what I was thinking too. They're called LED "throwies" and you can find some simple instructions here:

Protecting your eye seems like a good idea though!
