lifesized dredd displays - WIP

Awesome stuff. Completely jealous :)

Not sure where you live, but would you ever consider opening up your prop room for the public to enjoy somehow? Just out of curiousity :)

How did you get your hands on the Dredd stuff BTW?

You have an awesome display room! I love the tile and the lighting. With that much light, I can understand why you like to work in there.

Dredd is looking awesome. I never get tired of seeing your prop rooms and displays. It's one of those rooms you dream about having. Thanks for sharing!

Man, everytime I see that room I am in awe! :thumbsup, I have never really been interested much in any Dredd comics or anything just the movie but those displays really are top quality.

With some extra height and padded legs they would be fairly intimidating!

First off - thanks so much for the wonderful comments guys. It really does help get you motivated to do stuff when you're feeling lazy.

The costumes came from our very own junkyard and ebay. The regular street judge costume was made by costumejunkie and I purchased it off ebay from him

Yea - light was a priority for me - i'm currently undergoing a major renovation of my entire house. The house was built in 1909 so there wasn't much light to begin with. Over the years, people though it would be fashionable to put dark, almost black, wood paneling on the walls making the place look "charming." For a restaurant maybe, but over time, it just gets depressing. So when I redid the basement - I wanted to install enough lights where I could wear my sunglasses in the house and be comfortable.

Thanks Kwalsh0000 (and everyone else) - I'm gonna resume padding soon. Padding is hard work - I don't do it like the professionals and sculpt muscles out of foam or resin... I just find stuff around the house and start stuffing it like a turkey - It's hard to get muscle shape right when you're stuffing supermarket bags into the costumes.. :lol

Fantastic ! please tell me were to buy the Armour from?

Armor - Judgedredd - aren't you part of megacity forums too - I totally have seen you around and talked to you before - Dredd armor really doesn't come up very often - I personally just got lucky and got them off our junkyard and ebay... You just gotta stay diligent and keep checking. My wife jokes that I love the RPF more than I love her..... :rolleyes I don't know what she's talking about :angel

That looks amazing. I'm still trying to find pep files for the Stallone helmet and the Eagle shoulderpad. Want to get this made and completed for next Halloween and for the Japan Expo/Comic Con here in Paris.

Those photos are great but they look even *better* in person! I think he's done some more work to the Dredd display w/Stallone head since these pics were posted ...

Your Stallone Dredd Armor and display look Awesome, just Awesome! Love your prop room, that's a dream!!

About padding your mannequin- what about using some duct tape to form a rough body shape over the plastic bags? Or something like that...:popcorn
