Lifesize Anubis Goddess Statue Sculpt

That really is coming along beautifully. I'm torn between enjoying the updates and wanting to see the final piece.

Out of curiosity, what are you going to do with it? It really deserves to be exhibited somewhere.

thanks for the feedback guys, its coming on nicely and im very pleased. its due in 5 weeks, so not much to go.

Its going to be exhibited at my uni show and a recruitment exhibition in London, so that should be exciting!

Oh my!! You've studied some art history, I'm guessing? I'm not aware of anything quite like this having been sculpted in ancient times, but it sure LOOKS Egyptian. Pose and anatomy are great in that respect and it *really* fits the Mummy vibe, to boot. Great! :thumbsup

AWESOME does not begin to describe the power of this scuplt. My God that is incredible work !! :love

Where is it going to end up? :confused

Is it going to be produced for sale?

I spent ages sanding and priming it. took forever, still wasnt perfect, but it was intended to be antiqued, so it looked fine

I hope you guys like her. sorry for the rushed updates.

I did plan to give her a book, but it covered too much of her body, so i went for a scroll, i havent photographed that yet though.

So yeh, its due today, very nervous. Wish me luck guys lol

Cheers

That is an incredible build. I think expecting a top grade would be a pretty safe bet.
Of course, you've still got the biggest problem still to come - where are you going to store it?

Outstanding work! I wish I had 2 of them to display on either side of my fireplace or a doorway... but I wouldn't even have the room for them. Great job!
