Life Size Adult Groot (WIP)

I just got my first 3D printer this year and feel like I am getting the hang of it. I have many projects planned but a life sized adult Groot is 1st on the docket. Should take about 4 - 5 months.

The head came out pretty good, I am working on the neck and shoulders now.

I had a failed print that I used to test my hand at painting it myself. It turned out OK, but I think I will need to add a lighter tan layer of color and a lighter green layer.

(have some eyes I will glue in for the actual head when it’s time).

Open to any feedback so far and advice.

It is slow going. Have had a few issues with my printer, but I am back up and running... shoulder caps are done. Eyes are cut out and 1/6 of one foot is off the bed. Eye balls are selected. More updates to come.
