Hey folks IÂ’ve been able to come up with a little more inforamation from the electronic press kit for the Serenity props, I like the sound of everything I'm reading and I like the price point which is well within my buget even if I bought the signature edition, enjoy.
Serenity™ Mal Pistol (Information Subject to change)
For the first time anywhere, an exact, licensed replica of the shiniest sidearm in the ‘verse is finally available. Fully-licensed and authorized by Universal Studios, QMx has been given access to the original prop molds to produce this incredible replica of Captain Malcolm Reynolds’s trusty sidearm. This is the third piece in our incredible line of licensed replicas of props, gadgets, and vehicles from the movie, Serenity.
Each replica is proudly made in the USA and is cast in a special, reinforced, super-durable resin that is highly resistant to shrinkage, breaking, or bending. Absolutely no “cleanup” or “idealization” has been done. The replicas will literally be identical in appearance to the original prop. To further replicate the look of the original hero prop, each model is generously plated in copper and brass and given a black-antiqued finish. Shiny.
But waitÂ…ThereÂ’s more. Each model also sports genuine wood grips and die cast and machined metal details. The heavyweight resin used for each model, in combination with the heavy layer of copper and brass plating, gives each Mal pistol replica a cold-to-the-touch feel and a solid heft (somewhere north of two pounds, weÂ’re figurinÂ’Â…)
To enhance the value of your Mal pistol replica, each model will come in a beautiful presentation package, featuring the Serenity™ logo and a velvet-lined tray. A shiny acrylic display stand is also included that will hold your replica upright in a display position. Each package also comes with a numbered, limited edition, full-color metal plaque featuring the Serenity logo, edition number, and edition size. Anything less is gorram junk.
Strictly limited to 1500 units worldwide. And thatÂ’s it. We mean it. Once this run is sold out, no other replicas (in any form) will ever be produced by Qmx, so donÂ’t be noodlinÂ’ too long and act fast. Once these are gone, they could fetch some hefty cash on the secondary Federation market.
