Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

OOooo. Liam Neeson in Star Wars again. That's a hard bargain... dangit it.

No! No, no, no, no. My original stance still stands. All roads lead to death by broken heart. Screw this.

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

“these characters resonate…even after all these years…. Growing up, my heroes were cowboys; they were strong and mysterious, and it seemed like they always rode off into the sunset. For kids today, Star Wars has that same kind of magic. I really wanted to be a part of that.”

translation:

"I'm glad George isn't the Writer or Director of this series. It brings a breath of fresh air for me and am now happy to get into this role again. Also getting paid good money for a couple days' voiceover work that will span across multiple episodes will be pretty freakin' sweet too. I mean c'mon... I'm Aslan, b*tches!"

Quoted for the truth. LOL :thumbsup

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

Too bad he didn't come back for ep2 to voice "Anakin....Anakin! Noooooo!" It sounds so pieced together and the "Nippon" doesn't even sound like him.

Yeah, kind of distracting. I Frank Oz did his Cookiemonster to voice the "nooooo" part.

"Anakin, Anakin! Noooo!!!! OHMMMNN OHMMMMNN OHMMMNNN"

Man, you are missing out on a really well done series. Even the new Katie Lucas episodes are a good yarn.

The show is also getting alot darker as time goes on. Well i expect she got some of George's writing talent, just hope she didn't get his revisionist issues too.

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

One thing that is interesting when they showed what was coming in the season, was Ahsoka's vision telling her not to stay Anakin's apprentice or she'll die (something like that).

Yeah, that comes up in the next three episodes, should be interesting!

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

Man, the last few episodes have been the best SW in forever! And Qui-gon is one of the few things I loved about TPM, so having him appear in CW was a dream. I assumed it'd happen in flashback, however.

If you didn't see last Friday's episode, this is a spoiler:

I wonder if, now that Maul's back, the TPM Blu-Ray won't show him being cut in half?

I wonder if he's really back or he will be like a droid or holocron, something like that?

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

Looks like Neeson is not the only Episode I actor coming back for this story arc....

Pernilla August is also returning to voice Shmi Skywalker. Seems like we will be getting some flashbacks)

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

This episode was probably my favorite. The scenery was simply incredible, Qui-Gon's appearance was well done, Anakin and Ahsoka's visions were chilling, and the list goes on.

Just an incredible episode. Can't wait to see it again!

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

So was it really Qui Gon and older Ahsoka or one of those Force people in another form?

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

Good question. I think they were real and that Anakin's mom was one of the force people. I'd like to see the episode again though since there was so much going on.

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

Not even the disembodied ghost voice of Alec Guinness could make this show a good series...

It's so predictably mediocre right from the LOUD DRUM beating in the rescored theme to the bad narration and the cheesiest fortune cookie morals that I've ever had the displeasure to read.

You'd think Lucas was trying his hardest to make this series bad... No, this is just him and his creative people on their lazy days!

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

I think the Ashoka and Kenobi visions were real. Because, the Anakin vision was questions like where are your intentions/heart taking you? as Ben and Ashoka's visions were of guidance and direction.
I've enjoyed this show from the cartoon beginings and will keep watching.

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

But then Obi-wan awoke young Ahsoka. So was it a dream?

Re: Liam Neeson Reprising Role of Qui-Gon Jinn for Episodes of ‘Star Wars: The Clone

This is my favourite Clone Wars episode by far! Really thrilling story, lots of surprises, dark mood... and Qui-Gon!

At first I thought that the three visions were fake. But then... why would the son and the daughter care about Obi-Wan and Asoka at all? Asoka's vision is the weirdest... how can she contact herself through time? how can she know that she will die if she stays with Anakin? Was she killed by Vader in the future and that's her ghost trying to change the past? Anyways, I suppose that the fact that we see an adult Asoka means we won't see her die in this series...where is she in episode 3, then? (continuity fail?)

I hope they do more episodes like this. Makes the series worth watching!
