'Let's make some moonshine!'- The Old Hillbilly

HI,


here is a new sculpture of an old hillbilly I am working on, made him full of wrinkles and folds as would show with someone who would spend his day on the farm and in the sun


Planning on making a latex/foam filled bust of this one, and with a paintsheme that shows a weathered and sunburned skin.

Looks like a guy I had the displeasure of meeting in some backwoods town in Alabama when I went on a road trip. Guy was meaner that an alley cat. Great detail in the wrinkles and skin texture.

Looks really good, a lot of character in that face
If I can be critical for a moment though, and maybe this is just me, but to my eyes the ears look really low, which also makes the top half of the head look a bit oversized (especially noticeable in pic 2)

You are right about the position of the ears, they are very low but it is still possible to see on a human. And as I only saw this thing when I already started detailing I decided to keep it this way. Because, hey, he has to look a little bit odd haha.

He look pretty awesome! I lived in Dawsonville, GA for a while and I'm pretty sure I've had the ketchup stolen off my table by someone who looks remarkably similar! His ears remind me of someone who's dipped too much for far too long and now his jaw is giving out.
