Hi RPF folks.
Its been a while, but heres another video of a studio scale model. This time its a really old Icons ID Attacker, cast from the original moulds in all its freaky madness. I did a fair amount of work on this, but didn't obsess over every little detail as i wanted to actually have some relaxing fun doing this one. So here it is in all its plastic bag painted glory. If you don't know how to paint using plastic bags ! where have you been LOL.
Its something i tried a while back and loved the results, so you may fancy giving it a go and seeing what effects you can make. Anyhow, i hope you enjoy the video, and once again. Happy modelling everyone. :)

Great work once again mate:cool::cool:(y)(y):love: I've done false wood effects using plastic wrap film (made to wrap food) and the effects are great.
If other projects are to be painted with the "Dabbing Plastic Sheet Trick" you can always experiment with different types of plastic bags, wraps (some of the Xmas plastic wrap is also interesting) and leave the plastic do its job. ;);)

Cheers guys. I wasnt sure about the model, but with a bit of TLC it came out well. Ive used so many things for painting but i really love this hap hazard way of generating textures. Not the most used method in modelling thats for sure. I totally agree Joberg, plastic bags are great. I used them over a thin spread of filler to retexture the repaired areas of damage, lifting the plastic off when the filler is wet leaves that raised random surface detail with exactly the same look as the original textures. I will be doing more of this on something in the future. :)

Always loved the design of this ship. Very different than your typical UFO style of ship meant to represent that Roswell crash with a really great organic look.
One of these days I'd love to make one, even if not quite Studio Scale.

You did a fantastic job.
