Legend of the Bone-Hunter

Well, Its no where done yet. IT may be weeks of fine tuning etc.
Plus I gotta work and pay the bills with my crap day job. Then when I'm home its the only thing I look forward to. I'll keep all of yas updated. Peace and start saving your loot.

Still working on it. Will post some picts later of WIP. Right now I working on it in my sleep constantly imagining the cheek area and
the mouth area how to make it fit the facial anatomy of Predator. Also using my previous Skull mask sculpts to incorporate
human skull features but stylized in a way that would make sense on a predator head.

Nah, Not finish yet. The fun part of sculpting is also the pain in the butt part.
Stuff to do:
- Still need to refine it bring out more angles and forms to "catch light" if the form doesn't have any particular sharp shadows especially in the cheek area the form is flat and too undefined. The top ridge parts will be torture coming ahead.
- PLus symmetry issues and balancing the forms. I find that I don't stand back enough and forms appear out of proportions or leans to left or right.
-Will try to push this sculpt to the point where it looks like something done for the Movies. Oh the pressure!

I'm working with all the tips learned from sculpting masters like John Brown, Jordu Schell and Steve Wang. Constantly looking and studying sculpts they made to "try" to bring my sculpt up to their level. Pushing for a Strong piece art not just about being "pretty."

Yup I think I'll take as long as it takes. Been tired lately, designed a bunch of other crap for extra loot.
My creativity juices is low. Thanks for the support

Update - Sept 18th.
Been working on it slowly. Exhausted
Now on the secondary forms of the forehead crown part. After this is done then will add the details.
will post pics later

Thanks for the positive Vibes - I'll need it. By the way your kids costume is great!

Update: Got more done than what on the pics above. Will post pics this weekend. My friend from NY came to china to visit his sick father, so I've been busy helping him out with all the stuff. And I've been out partying with him since we haven't had chance to catch up for ages. Yeah getting old - can't party as much as I want to. I still want to finish this damn thing but just not enough time. Really makes me feel bad to look at the thing everyday and can't finish it. After my friend leaves gonna focus on my sculpture. Lately work, friends, colleagues has been taxing my energy more than usual - miss being the anti-social hermit artist like Picasso locking himself away in his countryside mansion and working like a madman.

Thanks for the positive words. This week gonna do my best to finish it. Then off to molding it.
I just spent billions on 40kg of Resin and 30 kg of the most expensive Silicone the earth can produce.
My heart just skipped a beat... hopefully its good investment. I got some other projects in mind - non predator related.
Who knows maybe I got some other great bio design deep in the crevases of my cranium. Stay tuned :D

this is an absloutly unique bio. I am very pleased to see the origonal design being put to work. Will this be for sale. Its a must have for any fan

Someone had ask me about the size of this thing:

Q:What are the measurement for the under mask that you made to sculpt on?

A: I made a wire frame armature which I plastered over. Then sculpted over this plaster thing.
Its about 50 cm crown to the chin. Its all custom made sizes so u can make to your own specific underforms to sculpt over.
You can see the picture here: Ancient Pred Bio sculpt

This is a great way to save clay since clay costs is higher than plaster cloth. Plus the rigidity of the plaster armature ensure u retain the shape thru-out the sculpt and lighten the load of the sculpture and make it easier to move around for molding.
