Legend of Korra - New "Last Airbender" Series

So what did you all think of the season finale? I totally loved and thought it was probably the best episode of the season, I had no clue that Amon was who he was but I did suspect that he was a bender though. I can't wait to see what they do with season 2, I wonder what they're going to do for a villain with Amon out of the way now.

I personally don't think Amon is out of the way and he survived. His character is just too good to end so soon and will be back more vengeful than ever in book 2.

Oh, Mako. I wish you weren't the tacked on, handsome love interest that Korra must fall for. You're flat, you're soulless and I hate your guts.

I don't know, he didn't seem all that vengeful or full of hate or anything at the end, he just seemed sad and resigned to his fate, like he knew what his brother was about to do. Besides, there's no real way that he could come back as the head of the anti-bender movement, too many people saw what he did. That's not to say that he could have survived, doubtful but possible, but it would be unlikely as a villain, at least not like he was in Book 1.

Yeah, I got the feeling he knew that he was about to die very shortly.

A rather surprising movie for what's ostensibly a kid's show. I think what I liked the most about Korra (the show) was that it was more grown up than Avatar and I liked that series a lot too. It's almost as if the show was aimed at the original (young) fans of the original Last Airbender and deliberately wrote it more mature and serious to account for the fact that the original fans are now older and could handle a more adult series.

ive started working on a fireferrets probending outfit. i like how they've intergrated bending into society more with probending, but i think everyone is far to advenced with their bending skills.

Good news for all who love the new Airbender series:

Nickelodeon orders second season of 'The Legend of Korra' -- EXCLUSIVE

It’s official: The Legend continues! Nickelodeon has picked up a second season of the animated adventure series The Legend of Korra, EW has learned. After averaging 3.8 million viewers for Season 1, Book 1, which concluded June 23, the Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel is receiving a second-season order of 26 episodes that presumably will be divided into two parts called Books 3 and 4, bringing the total number of episodes to 52.

The series is already set to return in 2013 with the premiere of Season 1, Book 2 (which consists of 14 previously ordered episodes), as 17-year-old chosen one Korra (voiced by Janet Varney) has now become a fully realized Avatar. The cast also includes Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), David Faustino (Married… with Children), and P.J. Byrne (Horrible Bosses).

At a recent con Steve Blum (Amon) said he couldn't confirm nor deny that Amon will be back for more episodes, but the way he said it was more of a "yes" than a "no". On a side note, got to meet Steve at the con and he was hella cool!
