Great News......Legend of Korra Book 3 returns starting with a special premiere episode on June 27th at 7pm on Nickelodeon !! Check out their website and trailer........plus look carefully......does my eye deceive me or is that a very aged character from the old series?? Looks exciting with plenty of action and new villians!

Fans of Nickelodeon's The Legend of Korra can look forward to new episodes of the animated hit this week.

The Legend of Korra Book Three: Change will premiere with three new episodes on Friday, June 27 at 7/6c, IGN reports. The episode titles are "A Breath of Fresh Air," "Rebirth of a Nation" and "The Earth Queen." After taking a week off for the July 4 holiday, The Legend of Korra will return with more new episodes on Friday, July 11 in its regular 8/7c timeslot, according to IGN.

Just a heads up to anyone collecting the Korra series on Blu-ray....Book 2: Spirits will be available to purchase tomorrow Tues July 1st.

I'm liking how Book 3 is kicking off so far, though it does seem like they're trying to go back to the Last Airbender roots more - Zuko, mention of Combustion Man and his ability, Team Avatar traveling to different towns, the thief kid whose voice sounds a little too much like Aang's, and a crazed guy chasing the Avatar across the planet. Maybe that's why it seems to be shaping up better than Books 1 & 2. Really hoping we see an older Toph, is she still alive?

She hasn't been confirmed dead yet, so I'm holding out hope. They've shown that Earthbenders are pretty long-lived in general, and I think Toph was the youngest of the group in TLA, wasn't she?

I haven't started watching S3 yet. I just picked up S2 today and I want to re-watch that before I go into the third season.
