Alrighty, finally got this puppy molded and cast! Even though there were a few minor hiccups along the way (see pics below), I think for a first attempt at molding a gun, it turned out fairly well.
Keep in mind that all these casts are straight out of the molds and I only removed the flash from the main body to see how well it fit together.
I plan to add some electronics inside (if I ever figure out how to do it and what to use), so I made the casting of the main body hollow. Since this was just a test pull, I used some old Smooth-Cast 321 I had sitting around. As you can see, there were a few bubbles that got trapped, but I'll figure out how to combat that problem later (could just be the age of the resin):

I'm sure you've noticed by now that there was a slight mold issue. One of the inner molds leaked over into the outer mold during the night! :cry Fortunately, it's not a total disaster and is fixable with a little filling during the build process. Also, it didn't seem to hinder the fit of the 'targeting sensor' piece, so I think I'm good to go:
It shouldn't take me long to build and paint it (I'm skipping the electronics stage for now), so stay tuned to see how it all turns out!
