For a "low budget" build, this is a remarkable costume. You have the luckiest kids on the planet.Any chance you'd like like to adopt another well behaved 39 year old kid who also likes costuming?:angel:lol

Thank you ALL for the positive comments, humor and encouragement! When you're spending long hours hammering away on costumes trying to hit looming deadlines, it's very nice to hear kind words from all your friends! :)

As an update, we have a pending Halloween party TOMORROW night, so I'm scrambling to get everything together this evening.

Over the weekend, I was able to finish up the red plasti-dip treatment for the spines and the feet.

We got my daughter into the suit last night just to see it all together...

I still need to sew up the legs (they are wide-leg sweats that I have pinned up for this picture).

I'll also paint the red-to-orange-to-yellow-to-green fade on the ankles (like I have on the wrists), but that won't happen for tomorrow evening (too much to do with her brother's Ironman suit).

Overall, it's not bad for being such a last minute build... and out of materials costing less than $45.

PURCHASES:
Sweatsuit Top = $6
Sweatsuit pants = $6
Gloves = $2
Camping Matt x2 = $6.00
Christmas Orniment x2 = $1
Fabric Paint x3 = $1.50
Plasti-dip = $8
Green spray paint = $4.00

ON-HAND:
Old shoes
Latex Caulk
Hot glue
Other fabric Paint
Additional Plasti-Dip
Clear Gloss Paint
Back-pack strap & buckle

Awesome. YOu make this stuff look easy. I am having issues just trying to get my daughters harley mallet to even look right. Thinking of using cork around it and just forget bout painting it.
