Im working on a costume for my wife based on this particular version maybe a mix of the original. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get this particular outfit (shorts and top). thanks!

Isn't that one of the game versions (model Alison Carroll)? if so it's probably custom made

Its not custom...check my post above. This costume is the Underworld costume. As worn by the official model for the game.

I think they mean custom made by he producers of the game, not custom made by someone replicating it (though to replicate it it would be a custom job...so the point is moot).

There probably aren't 'real world' pieces that exactly match the costume seen in the game, you could probably come close, but not exact, I'd look at work out clothes etc.. for the costume, then try to figure out the accessories.

Made by the company for promotion purposes. Usually their costumes arent as good as some of the fan made ones.
code name croft is very useful for finding what fabrics are meant for each part and the forum raiderquest is great source of info.

Yeah i read on other posts and just tried, the registration is blocked at the site somehow.i tried a couple of times to no avail.

start looking at fabric sites and find the square design or a perforated design, and the other parts look like... athletic wear material... its not like its gonna take alot of sewing (small amount of clothing lol) the holsters strap and shoulder straps look like straight webbing found at an army surpluss, the holster looks like a generic plastic or leather holster folded with a wierd thumb break... the boots... well yah thats on you, i took a pair of my issued black leather boots and added leather to it to bulk it up and straps to make it look cool :) i bet you could get all this for like 30-40 dollars, the most would be materials...

Sweet thanks for the input. Yeah i have a small surplus of materials for the holster including army surplus and garage sale items that i collected. The guns i found two for a dollar at a discount store i just repainted and scored them to look like the airsoft guns. The boots I bought for 4 bucks repainted them black with acrylic. I'm going to build them up with thin fun foam, paint and add straps to that.

Any suggestions for the main brown parts? i actually found enough of the black material in my closet to fit the patterns. i love this place so many resources! thanks

If I were doing the costume I would buy a tshirt and shorts that fit the dame way and mark out all the differant parts, chest line, brown and black areas and waist line. I would use that as a template. Again I like the athletic material, it's a great fitting material, but it depends on how comfy ur friend is in the material. U could get brown shorts and matching shirt and just add the black to that without much fuss. Also remember the colors are more of a suggestion, and unless u know who made it or spend a week researching it, finding out excatly what they used will be hard so find somethingbthat looks good, not costly and that u can sew yourself :)

Awesome help! i found patterns for the black swatches on the tomb raider site. just looking for more advise on a base.
I thought maybe under armour but again this is a budget project.also i havent sown in a long time so i dont want to get in to deep in that area. Anyone have any suggestions on athletic wear that would work for cheap?

Just go to the store; Target, Walmart, etc.. hit the women's "active wear" sections. Target's "C9" (by Champion) brand has shorts (fitted shorts-tight) that are nearly a match for the style shown. Work out bras are probably your best bet for the top. Then go to Jo-Ann Fabric or Hancock Fabric (or whatever is in your area) and take your time looking. Or bring a good photo and show it to the sales clerk and they might be able to help you out.

Some Mom & pop fabric stores have a back stock on fabrics which they do not have the room to set on sales planners, so ask.

.... and yes, I work retail. ;)
