Lady Predator Outfit @ MCCC 2013

Okie, so as much as I have loved the new upgrades to my Lady Pred the one thing that has bugged me throughout has been the "human" feet that I have, and the rather simplistic foam shin armour.

Since there are NO Lady Predator feet sculpts available, and all of the male ones are HUUUUUUGE, I've decided to make my own!

I started by taking my old Lady Pred heeled boots and stuck them into a pair of Hubby's wool socks turned inside out. Then I cut the toes and talons off an old pair of P1 feet that he didn't want, glued those on, and made some "sandal" platforms out of EVA foam:




Next I latexed over the entire thing:



I painted the talons and toes in with black latex, and white latex for the rest. Many MANY coats!

Then base colour applied:



Next I started working on making Sandal thongs, and fitting the new Latex Shin Armour to the feet:





Next, it was time for paint!



I also freshened up the paint job on my armour set:



And finally, it was time to suit up!

NICE!! great work, this would seriously work in a predator movie. a bunch of bad azz soldier's being picked off, then a female predator revealing herself from "cloaking".... :eek

it certainly has come a long way since I'd begun it in 2006

....and since I can't get enough of redoing things, i decided to remake my entire armour set in LEATHER!:



I essentially took my old design and translated it to leather, and then added some new details and made a few improvements. Then I dyed the raw leather black, applied some metallic paste and weathered it with a combination of black stove polish and FW Inks through an airbrush.

Outstanding. I love how even the mask seems to have a feminine quality to it. Without a doubt one of the tip-top female pred costumes I've ever seen.

Absolutely freaking amazing! This is top notch predator fan service. Since you're a fan, I'll ask you. Did you see Predators? If so, do you think those new predators in the movie were female? Because that is my prevailing theory on the matter. Since they were so much larger than a regular predator.

I did see it!

I don't personally think they were meant to be females. they were a different race of Predators according to the film: ones which hunted everything...including their own species.

The lore of the females being bigger and stronger than the males comes from the AVP comics. I personally don't subscribe to that idea...but it is an interesting one.

And I quite agree on the Bio Mask. It's the very reason I chose this mask. It was originally sculpted by a guy from the old Hunter's Lair who went by "Skunk". He had three sizes, and this was the smallest. The combination of the small lower face and larger crown has just the right feminine aesthetic to it, while still maintaining the austerity of a blank face.

The only trouble was I never got one of Skunk's undermasks to fit it, so i had to make my own
