Lady Loki Help/Possible Build

I have *kinda* decided to make a Lady Loki costume, but, before I invest too much time and funds into making it, I need a little help. :confused

Has anyone used the Dylon fabric dye brand before? How well does it work?
I've never dyed anything before, and I am hoping to buy a white dress from a second-hand store and then dye it to a VERY dark green for her dress.

The first picture is of the Dylon fabric dye.
The other three are colors I would feel totally comfortable using for the costume.

I am aware that there is a conversion you have to follow (1oz of dye per pound of dress, I think?) to get the right amount of dye to get the correct color. I'm assuming adding more dye than is required will get a darker color... but we all know what happens when we assume! Which is why I am asking for help. :)

What are some of your experiences using fabric dye? Did it go horribly wrong? Was it everything you ever dreamed of, and more? Anything you would do differently?

Any and all pieces of advice are GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i have used the dye many times and i comes out great. i dont even weigh the stuff i just guess the weight and throw in a pakket and it comes out B-E-A-utiful.

I found a dress at a local Goodwill about a block from my apartment, and decided to get it. For $15, it's pretty close to what I wanted... and it was the right size! Can't really get any better than that! :)

The top is dark green velvet, and the bottom seems to be made of silk in the same color. I still can't believe I actually FOUND a dress in the color that I wanted and that it FITS PERFECTLY!! :lol

Now I need to decide if I want my Lady to have a long gown or a short and flirty dress.
She is the goddess of mischief... So, we shall see. :love
