LA Costumers - October Disneyland Admission News

This was already posted by Captain Jack Savvy, but as a Disneyland employee I have 99.9% confirmed this rumor as being true.

Mickey's Trick or Treat party will be hosted inside Disneyland this year. (this means with a seperate special event ticket, you can come into the park IN COSTUME!)

The events will be held every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday night in October. Pricing has not yet been released.

This means: we can have unofficial RPF meet n greets and photo ops on each day.

Just picture it, a whole garrison of Stormtroopers riding space mountain
The ghostbusters boarding haunted mansion
Pirates on board Pirates of the Caribbean
The predator and Jason Voohrees arm and arm riding "Its a small world"

But you get the idea

Sounds pretty cool, it would make for a very interesting and memorable visit to Disneyland for sure. How cool would it be to have someone in a Capt. Eo costume hanging out in front of the theater, assuming that Eo is still playing then.

- Mad Hatter's playing on the Teacups.
- Ghostbusters eradicating the vermin out of the Haunted Mansion!
- Captain Jack Sparrow's simultaneously jumping out of the boats and taking over the auction scene!

Yes Mojo the ideas are endless!!!

Considering how anal Disney tends to be about their characters and how much (it's rumored) they hated having Anime Expo at one of the Disney Hotels some years ago I'm a bit surprised that they'll be allowing adults into Disneyland in costume. I'd figure that they'd be afraid of the potential confusion that people in Disney character costume might cause, supposedly that was the thing they hated about having AX at the hotel that one year. I really wonder how the park management is going to view having a whole bunch of Capt. Jacks & Mad Hatters running around the park getting their pictures taken with the tourists and (heaven forbid) signing autographs.

Given the unique opportunity and depending on costs I might just have to avail myself to this opportunity. It would probably one of the few times that I can wear my Stargate costume and be comfortable, either that or maybe wear my BSG duty blues at the risk of being a bit cold. Sadly, I don't have anything more appropriate for the occasion being probably one of the few costumers out there who doesn't either a pirate or Star Wars related costume in their closet.

true, but it's a separate admission and technically this would be pretty much everyone in the park in costume - so the playing field is level. People in the park would "know" that the costume folk were "outsiders."

Indiana Jones fellas at Indiana Jones (wow, I might have to come 2x)
Michael Meyers at the Haunted Mansion
Young Guns at the Saloon
Jedis at Star Tours
Halo master chiefs at the shooting range
Freddy Kruger at the children's lost and found

ah....

Yeah, the only time they get really upset is if you're walking around pretending to be one of the costumed CM's on stage.

I know last year there was a "Hatbox Ghost" from the Haunted Mansion that was holding court, lines of people taking pics with him, so on and so forth that was told to leave.

Oh well, not going this year. Figures. :unsure

Not sure if the rules have been changed, but previous years the rules were "no masks" and "your eyes have to be visible." Fine for the Ghostbusters, but all the bucket heads may not be so lucky... :confused

Theoretically, yes. But as a castmember you should know that most guests check their brains in at the main gate (if not before) right before they enter the park. Some may get that the Capt. Jacks & Madhatters they see running around are also guests, some may question if they are or not, but you know that there's bound to be a bunch who would assume that they are paid cast members; at least until they see more than one together in the same spot. :confused

Freddy Kruger at the children's lost and found

ah....

That's just mean.:lol

What would be pretty awesome is if some Ghostbusters people were to drive up to the park in an Ecto 1, imagine the oohs and ahhs they'd get driving up and into the parking structure.

or any Indy prop master who has wanted to take pics of their gear ON THE RIDE! Is it weird if I have a strange desire to show up as an unshaven tinkerbell with smeared mascara and a cigar?

-crooked wig
- hairy legs
-combat boots
- tatoos

but still holding a wand sporting wings.... I think that would be awesome

Lol this sounds like a hoot! Unfortunately my best costume currently is Rorschach from Watchmen and I'm not sure if that will go down well with Disney Security, no matter how petite and adorable the girl under the skuzzy mask and trenchcoat is! XD I'll definitely be lurking and see what comes of this though! :D

I do have two little girl cousins who would cosplay Kitty Genovese and Blaire Roche in a heartbeat though. (Black and white dress- check. Blood soaked dress and a stuffed Rin-Tin-Tin, check.)

Rorschach takes the girls to Disney Land. ;A; You know it would be the best photo-op ever. Esp. if he's too short to get on a ride. :C

my girlfrined is worried that we may not be able to get in as Tnkerbelle and Bobble, cause her costume is so close to the actual park costume

ill have to show you a picture and you can find out yeah?
