Balaclava is used to cover your face because the helmet does not sit low enough to cover your neck. Thats why kylos neck seal goes up to his chin. The balaclava is not used for 501st crl.

I'll have to do a test fitting with my neck seal and helmet to see how much it actually covers. Thankfully I have long hair so I may not need the balaclava either.
