Kylo kintsugi seams - always glowing or just bright red?

I know the seams/cracks on the helmet were glowing while it was in the middle of being repaired, but after that was done, did they remain a glowing red? Or just a bright red color?

I haven't seen TROS since Xmas, so my memory is failing me. I haven't purchased the TROS blu-ray yet, and it doesn't come out on Disney+ until Monday, so I am just going by images I find on Google, and it's inconclusive to me. Many pics looks like there's a glow while he's wearing it. Some other pics look like the seams are just colored bright red, like real-life kintsugi (though I can't tell if the bright red paint is just a trick to make the seams look like they are glowing). In some (albeit fewer) pics, the seams don't look colored at all - just black.

What's the word?

The helmet was cast in a translucent red resin and backlit with LEDs on set. It's always glowing, but sometimes appears dimmer/subtle depending on the angle.

Thanks. I was pretty sure that was the case, but a few photos made me less than 100% certain. Like this one:

I couldn't tell if the seams were glowing here, or just bright red.

It's also missing a scratch coming off on the lower right (Kylo's left)

Could it be they had stunt and hero helmets? Or were the red lines sometimes enhanced by special effects in some shots and not others?
