Hi guys

I'm doing a Kyle Reese 1984 version for this years Collectormania in Milton Keynes. Does anybody know what his pants/trousers were?

So far I've done really well and managed to source quite a lot including...

His Nike Vandals,

but those damn pants are hard to find :lol

Any help will be appreciated.

Paul

Always thought they looked like scrubs of some description. They look like draw-string trousers when he takes them off the Tramp.

Good call! Another suggestion I've had is sweat pants. No pockets are seen when he's running from the cops or during the love scene at the Tiki Motel :)

Hey dude!
Where did you find that trenchcoat? I have been looking for that kind of trenchcoat for ages.
Do you know what brand it is?

Rugby Pants, I remember those!
They must be the right thing, they're about the only kind of pants made of woven cotton with an elastic/drawstring waist and no fly.
And they were EVERYWHERE, the official uniform of lazy slobs all across America.
Somehow I had it in my mind that Kyle had cargo pockets, but I can't tell from any of the pics.
Man, I'd kill for a pair of those Vandals, I had the exact same ones and literally wore them until they were falling apart.
I picked up some of the repro ones lately (in stupid colors, though) and they're OK, but I'd love to get me hands on the exact black & silver ones.:love

And then they went out of style and were donated to the bums. I did a quick search and they still sell them. They look a bit different though.

I've got a red leather tie and a pair of rugger pants,
I put them on and I went to the high school dance.
Dad said I have to be home by eleven -
aw, man, I'm gonna miss Stairway to Heaven.

A style of male pants (sometimes referred to as "rugger pants") that was briefly popular -- for like about a day -- in the early '80s. Rugby pants were cotton casual pants with an elastic waist, no belt loops, a draw string, side pockets, and an absent fly. If I might, for a moment, heighten the horror, some variations of the rugby pant came in corduroy.

Popular colors were navy, grey, teal, and burgundy. Break dancers tended to favor a brighter red rugby pant with a black torn mesh tank top and white Velcro Adidas runners.

While from all accounts rugby pants were highly comfortable, the lack of a fly gave the front of the pants an oddly puffy, billowy look. It appeared like one was storing a loaf of bread along the waist line.

The lack of a fly also makes one wonder about the mechanics of male micturition. Did boys simply yank down the front of their ruggers, letting the tackle all hang out while peeing at a urinal, or did rugby pants turn men briefly into women, forcing them to use the bathroom stall out of a sense of modesty? Well, some questions are better left unanswered, cause, frankly, I don't want the answer to this one.

Only the Biehnmeister could score an 80's hottie wearing those fugly things.

I guess sporting The Pecs From Hell probably doesn't hurt, either... :confused

I noticed in that behind the scenes pic Michael Biehn is being squibed. I don't remember Reese being shot in the guts.

I suppose. Hardly seems worth doing it. The focus was on the terminator and then he died. Must have been on the cutting room floor.

And it looks like he's in a room. Don't they usually they squib you on set?

i had some pants iun the 80s that where heavier then the rugby pants and nicer they had snaps on the pant legs. i always thought they where the same kind
