Since I had a few pieces waiting in the same area to be photographed, I thought I would add them together just for the heck of it. ;)

The X –Wing and Viper are both stated as 1/24 “Studio Scale”…

The TOS Viper and DeSanto Viper are also both stated as being 1/24 “Studio Scale”…

The TOS Cylon Raider is stated as being 1/35 “Studio Scale” and the Viper again at 1/24 “Studio Scale”.

OH WHAT FUN!!! :D

Wait a minute - an X-wing and a Viper flying in formation? Isn't that the equivilant of crossing the streams in 'Ghostbusters'?

LOL yeah. I think Kurt should go into model photography he's getting really good at it.

LOLOLOL... you guys are funny. ;)

Yeah, I just placed them together for the fun of it.... DEFINITELY crossed those streams! LOLOLOLOLOL

As to photography talent... AMATURE is the my word of the day! LOLOLOL Thank you for the compliment though Richard! :D I really appreciate it! :) Of course, I have been getting tutored by Mr Gene K which is probably one reason why they turn out as good as they do! LOLOLOLOLOL. The other reason is that the models are done to great standards by you guys!

I am having fun though! ;)

I will keep working at it. :)

Thanks again for the compliment! It put a smile on my face for sure! :D

That Cylon Raider is sweet! Is that a kit or scratch built?

FB?

It was a Jim Key/Jesse Meyers/Mike Salzo kit. It was mastered from one of the 'pyro' Raiders. Thanks for the complement! I had fun building that one. It was my first SS piece.

wrong. I made the patterns for Jim Key. It was all hand made, sculpted, cut plastic, kit bashed, etc. NO castings from any pyro. Jesse and Mike can fill you in more as can Jim Key.

Those are absolutley beautiful! Now, to put a Star Destroyer in the same photo as the Enterprise......as Costanza says..."Worlds are colliding!"

Very nice work!

As for the Raider history, Mark's correct (though I'm sure Hand didn't mean any offense by his reply) From what I know Mark (Mycroft Holmes) made the kit from Jim Key (I imagine Mark had help/assistance and as I don't want to snub anyone sorry if I don't know your names) Jim later did some work to the patterns and eventually sold them to Mike Salzo and I. Since Mike and I have gotten them Mycroft (and others) have been very nice and in fact critical to first small, and now larger restoration work that has been ongoing on the patterns.

As to the exact process of recreating the Raider and how Mycroft did it all, he can fill you in on those details...it's quite a story and at least part of it used to be reabable on StarshipBuilder.com.

Cheers all.

Thanks for the info Mark and Jesse! :) It is good to know!

Bob didn't mean anything by his statement of origin. It was I that told Bob that it came from a Pyro because that is what I remember being informed. It is obvious to me now that I must have combined two different conversations in my memory and only remembered what I wanted to! LOLOLOLOLOL..... That it was from a Pyro! ;) And that Jim Key made it presentable, then sold it later to Jesse. ;) So this is really my error...

However...

Mark,.. actually, I never was informed that you had scratch built this form for Jim. So this is news to me and I didn't intend any malice by ever suggesting otherwise. You are a great scratch builder sir, and I am now honored to own a piece you had a hand in creating. :)

Any others I should know about? ;) My memory isn't as good as it used to be. Lineage of where my pieces come from is of PRIME importance to me. ;)

Both the models and photography are absolutely stunning!:love
Any chance of seeing some beauty shots of your MR Y-wing Mr. Kuhn?:)

There will eventually be Blue Screen shots of the entire collection. I just need the time to get them done! :lol
