Krogan battle armor

I am new here to the community. this is my first foam armor attempt... and i set my goals high.. i am making an original Krogan battle armor suit for Dragon con 20011. We are going to be a group set . (oh btw if you are unfamiliar with Krogans they are an warrior alien race from the video game Mass Effect and it's recent sequel. ) I have put in an example of the suit the pic does not have the helmet i will find and add one later. love to hear your thoughts

the only krogan i've seen done was Grunt at comic con 2010, theres a good few vids of their performance at the masquerade.
some search results

they focused alot more on the LEDs and beautiful animatronics and foam latex sculpted head.
i've seen it up close and even the teeth look real, worn, and like they need some colgate!

no real advice here, but best of luck, it's not an easy suit to do!

yeah i saw the animitronic krogan ( awesome btw) ... havent made it to there yet... so i am going to be doing it with a helmet.

You're going to be roasting in that costume lol. The human (or humanoid) armors from the games seem to be the easiest.

I hope it turns out good. i'm trying my darnest to pull off a kal'reegar for dragon con aswell and i'm freaking out and there's still 10 months or so till D*con 2011 lol

Excellent, my cousin has been talking of assembling a foam krogan and your project should help him understand how to. Good luck I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

You've probably seen the excellent Krogan progress shots/vids over at Holly's Sorcery & Glue blog,
but make sure to check it out if not.

Good start w/ the armour ... remember, slow & steady wins the race with these projects!
